If it wasn't for the evil thorns I would love, love, love these plants (wild blackberries). But alas they have cat-claw sharp and plentiful thorns that refuse to let me and my clothing go if they get any chance to grab hold.
However the berries are absolutely delicious and worth the risk. They rarely make it inside because I am a berry fiend ... but when they do and a smoothie is made the brilliant purple colour is outstanding and a 'wow' is often heard rolling off my tongue.

Long exposure for soft, painted effect on grass and motion effect to the spinning windmill. I took this photo shortly after the wind really picked up, and several minutes before a big storm moved in--thunder, rain, strong winds, and hail. You can see the storm front to the right side of the photo.

Black fronted dotterels also known as black fronted plovers, Elseyornis melanops, taken in the Kimberley, Western Australia.
They typically feed in freshwater wetlands.
This pair were not at all afraid of people which made them wonderful photographic subjects.

a white fronted bee eater (merops albicollis).
this kind of bee eater con be found in south africa all the year around.it's a lovely bird and in some areas quite common.
in photography the hardest part is in this case to get the details of the white front.the whites are very easy to be "fired" especially in canon.take care on exposure!

This massive storm front travelled through this afternoon. This is only a small part of it, it was huge!!! It was awesome to see!!! I drove quickly to the beach to capture some photos, I was well rewarded. Only had rain here, but other areas had hail, and their property was damaged by the hail.
This crimson fronted parakeet was pretty far in the distance but I was excited to capture it in its environment.
This week's theme for Mosaic Montage Monday was Back/Front. It's Summer and my Tiger Lilies are blooming! HMMM!

Male of Golden-fronted Woodpecker (Melanerpes aurifrons), Laguna Seca Ranch, Texas. Golden-fronted Woodpecker populations declined between 1966 and 2014 by about 46%. Golden-fronted Woodpecker populations may benefit from the proliferation of mesquite on rangeland.
The first train on my trip to Colorado yielded a nice pair of EMDs on the head end of this H-LAUDEN manifest train. After a few hours of waiting and making a setout, it finally gets on the move with a thunderstorm that had formed right behind it.
