As the sign reads:
Chicago crime figure Al Capone gave this watch to Frank Detra, owner of the Pair-O-Dice Club. The engraved message on the back reads, "France Amici Allphonse," Italian for "Frank and Al (Capone) are friends."
Another view of the fox shown above after we disturbed him. Seemed very tame. Researching Newfoundland foxes we assume he is a "Red Fox"; they also have black, tan and white markings.
This dog ran up to Dakota and I yesterday on the beach.
Now, while I WISH we had a dog park or a dog beach or SOMETHING, we don't. And, while my Dakota doesn't always LISTEN like she should, I still make an effort to call her back and I ALWAYS go retrieve her if she runs off.
This dog's owner, who was maybe 150 yards away, at least, made NO attempt to call this pup back. Thankfully he (or she) was friendly, but it definitely hit a nerve with me. What if she hadn't been? What if Dakota wasn't as friendly as she is? Ugh...
Anyway, happy furry friday.

The food was sooooo delicious, unbelievable gourmet food. I was definitely surprised, and everything was so well organized.
Each "friendly adventurer" had one meal set-up duty and one meal clean-up duty. After the meal clean-up each individual washed his/her own plate/bowl and eating utensils.
