Driving along GA 101, you'd never suspect that a one minute turn off down an unassuming country road would take you to the African Wild!
This strange ranch was accidentally discovered by a friend of mine and now it has become a regular side trip for my kids every time we take the back way to Atlanta.
There are so many different kinds of animals grazing with the cows. It is rather bizarre, as there are no signs of tours or public awareness. Just a few posted notices not to feed the animals.
It is as if a Georgia farmer just decided one day that he should like a zebra, and went and bought himself a few. Along with some camels, water buffalo, and llamas. Then he threw in a few cows and donkeys for good measure.
The one good thing about going to Forest Farm Nature reserve is the fact the birds are pretty friendly, this Robin came so close.

Seems that there are very few tourists visiting Ramla. When I asked them for the way, they instantly invited into their shop and 'demanded' to take a picture. One of their friend made 'thumbs up' while I took the photograph.
This is Brent. Such a funny story. I am sure I cannot do it justice. (no pun intended) So, my friends and I were driving, got lost and instead of going over the Grapevine again, we decided to pull into a weigh station. This is for eighteen wheelers, mind you but hey, we were in a Land Rover. So, out comes Brent...we knew we had made all the CHP peeps laugh. All four of us started talking at once. We asked him to escort us over the freeway (illegally, of course). He asked us where we were going, a little concerned about us. We were on our way to a branding party and we, of course, invited him along. So, during all the chaos, I got the idea to take his picture. He said yes but I didn't get to tell him about the project. I recently made up little sheets of paper to explain the project and also, in case they wanted to check out their picture. So, as we zoomed off, screaming out the window, I tossed the little paper out the window for him, never thinking of what it might look like to him. A few days later, I get a facebook message from him. Oh my. Pretty darn funny. He was darling and made our day, that's for sure, but I now know better than to toss a piece of paper out the window to a guy! Brent is # 20 in my 100 Strangers Project. This old man was resting in his village near Bagan when I - together with 8 other tourists entered a village where pottery is made by handcraft. Well, I personally don't like to step through the backyards of foreign people. That’s why I kept myself a bit in the background. We made some photos from handcrafting women and finally the group bumped into this old man while he was resting. Everybody just ran to him trying to get a picture of him. But he just turned around showing to us that he is not interested. I just kept off from all the others and walked around. But suddenly, when all the others have left already he turned to me and smiled. I showed him my camera and he showed me to come closer. So we took some photos and after this “shooting” I paid my model with two dollars. We shook hands and left as friends…

Traffic was light on the Aurora Sub this afternoon. This westbound TOFC had the highball all the way from Lease to East Cabin. The engineer sure was friendly as he hungout and gave us a wave. He added a nice little horn show east of Oregon as he passed E. D. Etnrye Co.
We stopped to have a chat with this beautiful old dear. Couldn't make out a word of what she said but she seemed to like the idea of me wanting to take her photo.
They ran up to me and said "Hello!" and I said "Hello, what are you names?" we exchanged introductions and shook hands and then parted ways.

The southern right Whales in Peninsula Valdes in October come there to breed and are playful, friendly and very active. In Patagonia.They are very curious and come right up to the boat.It was extremely exciting seeing them this close from an inflatable.They would swim straight towards us and then right under the boat at the minute. Or pop their heads up to spy on us.
