Like all four elements, water is essential to life but sometimes there can be a little too much and here the flower is protecting the vital parts from the rain...
Thank you for looking and for your encouragement.
Macro Mondays Week 18: The Four Elements
Water... One of the four elements that give life. Water, Earth, Air, and Fire.
A good friend commented, "This actually has all four. Earth is the leaf. Air is there. Water in the droplets. Fire in the reflection of light."
I'll buy that!
The six-point brewers star you can see on the bottleneck is a medieval alchemist representation of the union of the four elements, the upper triangle meaning fire and air, the lower water and earth.
You can find this old symbol often on south German brewhouses, because the elements, in an alchemical way of thinking, are brought together here (brewing water, fire for cooking, air = yeast, earth = barley) in order to create the most wonderful beverage that exists in the universe: beer.

Fire emerges through gaps between small river pebbles.
I soaked a piece of paper towel in torch/candle oil, covered it in small river pebbles from our potting supplies and lit it on fire.

As I was checking the stove for the night I saw this imp from Hell gazing at me from the coals. I grabbed a photo before it could melt away.
Shot for Macro Mondays, theme "Four Elements".
This candle flame is fighting against incoming pulsating water drops coming from a dental device called a Water Pick.
Taken for group 'Macro Mondays' 6th May 2019, theme 'Four Elements'.
This is fire, air and water. This is a lit household match with water dripping from a tap. The smoke is from the burning match. I've used rear-sync flash to capture the water drops.
Confession: I had to merge two photos. This is what I wanted but the flame had gone out so I took the flames from another one where I'd missed the water drops.
Soft droplets
Softness also in my most recent video with my music composition (It was tomorrow it was yesterday)

I found this tiny egg on the ground in the dirt, brought it indoors to photograph the earthy camouflage pattern against a black background... and then returned it back to the earth. HMM!
Created for Macro Mondays "Four Elements" challenge, 6 May 2019. "Trailing Fire" refers to the pansy variety that I've just planted out in my garden.

Earth (and some Air) for Macro Mondays Four Elements - I was re-potting a plant so this earth has a few roots in it. As the surface was inside the pot it is curved which is my excuse for not getting it all in focus
The theme for week 26 is the Four Elements: Earth, Air, Fire and Water.
I was going to set things alight and make some cool arty images, but it's Sunday and I've had a long week... will this do?
The 5/6/19 theme for Macro Mondays is Earth,Water,Air and Fire. This is a shot taken through a mud puddle, and as near as I can figure, it falls within the three inch parameters set by the group.
