Air, water, earth, and fire, the air that encompasses and gives life to the fire, the earth or 3 wooden toothpicks, the drip of water and the flame on the tealight. Frame 3/4 inch or 19mm.
four elements is the theme for Macro Mondays, May 6th.
I thought, most difficult would be to present, AIR in a macro, less than 3 ".
This is my attempt, smoke is transported by air.
This dark tulip has such a dramatic name: Queen of the Night. I chose the bulbs from which these grew because they bloom later in spring and because I felt curious. A new-to-me tulip hue.
With water droplets to highlight the slender focal edge.
Just got home from Beaumaris in Anglesey Wales so late with my photo this week. We visited Penmon Lighthouse on a very sunny but cold afternoon, in the lead up to the lighthouse there were very many interesting rock pools so I thought this would be a good idea for a water element. I have cropped the photo down to fit in with the 3" limit.
For the theme "Four Elements"...
I really wanted to do something with adding water to an Earth, Wind and Fire album and go for all four elements, but that didn't pan out in the time that I had.
HMM!
Macro Mondays theme: Four Elements
Earth (soil), water and of course air are the basis of all life on earth.
We should be aware of this. Protect our planet !
New growth of pine needles over the soil after a rainy and windy day. Too much wind outside today hard to have a steady hand.
Monday is the busiest day and while heading for shower I thought might as well take a shot of water from the shower head. Chosen for entry among a few others.

Water – the elixir of life. As in an aquarium – here in a carafe, seen from above – lemon, rosemary and peppermint romp in the refreshing fluid, without which the human could not live. A little spiced up with these additions it tastes twice as good. Try it ;-)

Earth and Water
Nothing special for "Four Elements", as I had a busy week including the weekend (and I also started too late as usual). I actually wanted to include the other two elements in a more abstract way by using a recently purchased glass prism (for some light / colour reflections to symbolise "air" - not really obvious, is it?; and I also just couldn't get it right with that new photographic toy), and the star filter to create a "spark" that could set off a small "fire", but the tiny, rather shapeless blobs of water that you see here (I had perfectly round droplets on my mind, and ended up with blobs) were probably too small and shapeless, so the light burst didn't work either. So I decided to stick to two elements, "earth" and "water". Earth, or rather soil, and water make things grow, like the Geraldton waxflower with its tiny blossoms (0,7 cm / 0,27 inches in diameter) and brightly green needles, and the olive tree, which provided the wood this small spice measuring spoon shaped like a tiny scoop is made of (what you see here is the 3,5 cm / 1,3 inches long scoop part). Soil borrowed from the balcony, waxflower twiglet borrowed from a bouquet, processed in Luminar 3 (only minor adjustments this time, like small and big details, a little HSL sliding) and ON1 Photo RAW (HDR filter "Glow" and LUT filter).
A Happy Macro Monday, Everyone!
