I was trying to capture the moment when wind extinguishes a flame. However it was a lot harder than I imagined - it was either the full flame or no flame/smoke (and too dark). So here is the moment just before.
I'd cross the sea to you
I've left myself deserted here again
I'd cross the sea to you
My pieces are too broken now to mend
In the middle
Under a cold black sky
The sun will only burn for you and I
In the moment..
Before I lose my mind
These hours don't mean anything this time..
Give me a sign
Show me the line
Maybe tonight
I'll tell you everything
Had this shot in mind for a while and this theme was the perfect opportunity to test it out.
Of all of them I think I am most disappointed with the water, I think I should have gone with a proper splash shot.

This is water running from a tap into an overflowing glass. For the record it was surrounded by air!
Macro Mondays theme : Four Elements
Here is my take on the four elements theme. My subject includes two elements: fire (candle) and water (droplets). One thing for sure, the scented candle had a very nice “Soft Cotton” fragrance. Quite relaxing!
Enjoy!
Thank you everyone for your visits, faves, and kind comments
Ribbons (well, actually colored audio tape leader) reacting to the updraft from a small fan.
The total height captured is less than 3" (76mm).
This guy lives in a 60L tub on the patio.
MacroMonday weekly theme: “Four Elements” pick one or more of Earth, Fire, Water and Air.
We clearly have water.
There is also a gulp of air to be "seen"
It is a fire coloured fish
And the coloured water is due to the muddy sediment being continuously re-suspended by the fish so is the earth in the picture.
Have I thought too much about this maybe?

PIOGGIA PURIFICATRICE.
avvinta come l'edera

...Raccogliamo tutti i fiori
Che può darci Primavera
Costruiamole una culla
Per amarci quando è sera poi
Saliamo su nel cielo
E prendiamole una stella
Perché Margherita è buona
Perché Margherita è bella
Perché Margherita è dolce
Perché Margherita è vera...

Macro Mondays ~ Four Elements ~ Earth
Fiddleheads or Fiddlehead greens are the furled fronds of a young fern.
It's so nice to see them open up right in my back yard.
I can watch moving water for hours, so I choose this one of the elements, so I took a small part of the surf in the sea not larger then 5 inch

Earth and water, sunlight and carbon dioxide ; result : food and oxygen .
For “Macro Mondays”- theme : “Four Elements” .
Note: Earth, Water, Air, and Fire. The ancient Greeks believed that there were four elements that everything was made up of: earth, water, air, and fire. This theory was suggested around 450 BC, and it was later supported and added to by Aristotle.
Took the literal approach to the theme.
Having to build four elementals and combining them into one image is a tough job. But I’m quite content with the endresult.
I have done these before, but it’s always a nice theme to return to
Fire, Rocks (earth) & Water are 3 of the Four Elements. Macro of a tealight in a bowl filled with rocks and water. Image reflected in a mirror spritzed with water for the bokeh.
Yesterday's Macro Monday's theme was the Four Elements: Earth, Air, Water and Fire.
See if you can guess what this was before it burst into flames? (look closely into its structure). It grew in the earth with water and air, and when I held a match to it ……..pooof! It became a fieball! It was completely consumed in about a second, leaving a nice fragrant aroma, and a neat little pile of seeds.
I couldn't believe how fast it burnt. It was one of the dandelion heads, a clock, that I used in my shots of coloured hair-dos and Newton's Cradle.
I should have used this for the Four Elements.
Where there is smoke there was fire ;)
