Cough.. For the MM four elements (Earth, Water, Air & Fire) challenge today, I chose Air as in smoky air! Selma (the Simpsons) is always smoking up a storm. Cough. Her smoking is messing up the clean fresh air around here! Cough.
The smoky effect is real.. I had some fun with (odorless) smoke in a can! Didn't want to buy a smoke machine. ;-)
I cropped the pic so it’s all under 3 inches. HMM!
Je trouve souvent de minuscules pieds de Fougère Capillaire dans mon jardin. Il me suffit de les récupérer dans leur élément et de les mettre en pot ou dans un panier à suspendre avec de la bonne terre. #Macro #MacroMondays #FourElements #Earth #Terre

So, for today's theme I decided to go with "Air". I might have been influenced by the group "Earth, Wind & Fire" because I kept thinking wind (not air). Still, wind is moving air, so it should be ok. I had the idea to capture fluttering, coloured ribbons. I attached different ribbons to a clamp and put the hair dryer on them. Unfortunately only the yellow and the green behaved in a good way, everything else didn't look pleasing. The yellow and green were paper ribbons, they moved about gracefully, so I used only them and the image is now not multi-coloured. It took a while to find the right exposure time, not too long, not too short. In the end, once I had that, it was a lot of fun. I shortlisted 3 images, this here being one of them. I will post the other two as well.
Shot for Macro Mondays with the theme "Redux 2019". 2019 themes included are "Hard Light", "The First Letter of My Surname" (Pebbles & Pine-needles), and "Four Elements" (Earth).

What better way to spot the element air by observing it on windy days?
Picture was taken in Denmark last week, enjoying holidays with my family. HMM!

I love my 1999 BMW Z3, who I call midlife Midge. I was fascinated by the beads of water drops on Midge's hood and the abstract, geometric yet organic patterns. And the marvelous metallic blue.

A simple abstract made from water droplets placed on a sheet of glass. This should qualify for two of the four elements, water and earth (the glass being made from molten silica/sand.) Fire, of course had to be employed to raise the temperature of the sand to 1700C but as that can’t actually be seen, I guess it doesn’t count.
For Macro Mondays "four elements"; earth water air fire, and yes, I had to rise to the challenge to try to get them all! The background colouring is to represent air as we all know air is blue 😉 and there can't be a flame without oxygen.

I have been told that my original post was removed from the group. I was told to remove the quote and repost it if I want to.
I removed the quote and reposted it to the group but I am NOT removing my original post from my photostream!

For today's theme of Earth, Water, Air and Fire my choice was water.

Hi, This is my entry for Macro Monday's May 06, 2019 theme four elements. I learned on UTube (where else?) that steel wool will catch on fire if you touch it briefly with the two prongs of a 9 volt battery. The fire spread amazingly well. Not too fast giving us time to snap a decent photo. So since the entry this week one of the four elements... I thought it made a good subject for this week's theme. I also try water droplets which is also posted on my feed, you are welcome to have a look if you want.
Hope you like it this shot.

The flow of the Water creates the patterns in the Earth (sand). The shell creates the ripples in the Water.

The theme for today's macro Mondays is The Four Elements....Earth, Air, Fire and Water. So what I present her may not be that obvious.
It starts with an antique small blue glass with lots of bubbles in it, filled to the brim with water into which I tossed one dandelion seed...and faffed, and faffed, and faffed until I was f---ed; faffed. So the bokeh was great, but could I get the seed to stay still without drifting off one way the other?
Anyhow, here is my water effort. HMM
