In my backyard one day, late morning into the afternoon I looked up and saw these beautiful clouds in the sky with the sun shining through. I thought WOW, this is gorgeous and started shooting. South Korean artist Kwang Young Chun combines hundreds of paper wrapped parcels to create sculptural compositions,called Aggregations,that look like crystal formations,asteroids,or the surface of the moon (a feeling I got).The Aggregations are simultaneously Space Age and nostalgic,beautiful and violent,powerful and fragile.They draw on the artist's training in abstract painting as well as memories of his childhood,when Korean apothecaries sold medicine in similar bundles.
Each parcel is wrapped in old book pages printed in the traditional manner on Korea's celebrated mulberry-pulp paper,called hanji.Chun likens the parcels to cells or units of information,and sees analogies to both chemistry and the human condition in the ways the parcels interact physically:sometimes meshing,sometimes clashing.He compares the fragmentary passages of text on the wrappers-most taken from classics of Korean and Chinese philosophy-to voices overheard in a crowd.
The installation features six works by Chun-five wall pieces and one that is freestanding-presented adjacent to Korean objects relating to writing reading and paper that are part of our Arts of Korea galleries-Brooklyn Museum

Elephant Rock is a unique rock formation just off Valley of Fire Highway, next to the east entrance of Valley of Fire State Park. This is the sort of sandstone formation that can’t be believed by people who haven’t seen it. Is Elephant Rock an oddly shaped natural arch or perhaps a stone encased mastodon trunk? There is no shortage of geese formations to capture this time of year. This one was both a test of the handheld ability of the 18-400mm Tamron lens, and the Luminar2018 editing software.
Mach Loop Bwlch top shelf 26.04.2016
I am very much an opportunist as far as the Loop is concerned. I don't have the privilege of tip offs or contacts within squadrons like some do unfortunately.
I will book a day off work, drive to Mid Wales climb a big hill and just hope for the best. I arrived at the Bwlch car park just before 8am and it was full! Last time it was like this I had a good day.... Today was probably the most memorable day I will ever have in the loop.
Started off well with a Tornado GR4, then a Hawk. Then it got interesting, Belgians in the Lichfield Corridor over the scanner requesting Low Fly. Awesome! F16s through the loop, really pleased!
A little longer passed and we endured a full blown blizzard for about 20 minutes. Once the snow passed the skies cleared and then we waited. Americans over the scanner, Rage was the call sign, F15's were on the way! As they neared then they began talking about the formation, they had Raptors in tow!!!!

The Sculptor Galaxy sometimes called the Silver Coin or Silver Dollar Galaxy is an intermediate spiral galaxy in the constellation Sculptor. The Sculptor Galaxy is a starburst galaxy, which means that it is currently undergoing a period of intense star formation. It was discovered by Caroline Herschel in 1783 whilst searching for comets. It is one of the brightest galaxies in the night sky, and is approximately 11 million light years away from Earth.
This was a bit of an experiment as I was not using my usual equipment and it was the first time using this new one shot color camera for only 23 minutes of 30 second exposures and no guiding, I was very happy with the results. Although I was able to connect the Meade LXD55 mount to the ASIAir V1 and slew the telescope, I was unable to start tracking and so no guiding. I relied on the Audostars tracking Next time I use this imaging scope, I will use it on the Skywatcher NEQ6 mount.

This picture of cloud formations was taken in the Great Smokey Mountains National Park on the "Road to Nowhere". The lake is Lake Fontana. Lake Fontana and the Road to Nowhere both have interesting histories that date back to World War 2.

A very beautiful park "Sahid Mangal Pandey Uddan"(Nishan Ghat) facing the Ganges at Barrackpore .Mangal Pandey (About this sound listen (help·info); 19 July 1827 – 8 April 1857), was an Indian soldier who played a key part in events immediately preceding the outbreak of the Indian rebellion of 1857.Mangal Pandey was a sepoy (private) in the 34th Bengal Native Infantry (BNI) regiment of the British East India Company. While contemporary British opinion considered him a traitor and mutineer, Pandey is widely regarded as a freedom fighter in modern India. In 1984, the Indian government issued a postage stamp to commemorate him. His life and actions have also been portrayed in several cinematic productions.

These beautiful rock formations were seen at Tung Ping Chau island which is part of Hong Kong's UNESCO Global Geopark located by 90 minutes ferry ride from Ma Liu Shau ferry pier.
These are sedimentary rocks formed after the Jurassic era! Mujst visit this place if you are looking for day trip from city's hustle bustle and some beautful landscape shots with a paved hiking trail!
