Three greylag geese in tight formation above the Ismaninger Speichersee, east basin.
The Ismaninger Speichersee is a reservoir in the north of Munich, built in 1929 to regulate the water flow for the run-of-the-river power plants along the Isar Canal.
The reservoir and the adjacent fish ponds are a nature reserve (Europareservat) and an Important Bird Area (IBA).

The Lookout is a rock arch at El Mirador Beach in Cozumel that forms a bridge over the water. Over thousands of years the coral rock that composes the Caribbean Sea bed has been pounded by waves which have eroded the reef into this beautiful natural bridge. Visitors can climb on top of the rock formation to enjoy the views across the Caribbean Sea toward Cuba and watch the ocean splashing giant waves against the rocks.

One of my all time favourite reggae tracks, and a great finale to the Toots and the Maytals gig last night, 54-46 was my number , classic. This shot of the shore platforms at Nash Point is vaguely numerical in it's geological formations so that's close enough!
It's also my birthday today, so we're off to see The Jesus and Mary Chain tonight, I doubt they'll be as good as Toots though, he was amazing!!!

Nature has endowed the relief of this vast rock formation with incredible colors. In Spanish, the Valle del Arcoiris means "Valley of the Rainbow", a name worthy of this grandiose landscape of red, white, yellow and brown cliffs standing out against the blue sky. This emblematic site of San Pedro de Atacama attracts visitors from all over the world to admire its splendid colors.

Yellowstone National Park is full of nature's mysteries around every turn. It would take many trips to take it all in. Years of geothermal activity at Mammoth Hot Springs created this beautiful display of mineral deposit capped travertine rock formations. Recent minor earthquake activity caused a shift in the spring shaft, which caused steaming, hot water to flow over these stone terraces.
This was taken at Arches National Park near Moab, Utah.. . This formation is named for the Egyptian Queen Nefertiti, who wore headgear shaped like this rock. I liked the effect of taking the photo near sunset from the shaded side.
