We have a big pot of sage in the garden which is flowering at the moment, more so than most years. Sage has a very distinctive purple flower with red buds. Looks like candy and almost good enough to eat (or maybe because it's lunchtime and I'm feeling hungry). Happy Monday!
One of the many colourful flowers in the walled garden at Inverewe Gardens run by the Scottish National Trust.
Amazingly warm December days! The Canada Geese are back in Paradise Pond (... behaving like it's Spring...) and the Winter Flowering Heather (Erica carnea) are just beginning to bloom. And, of course, the spiders are fearless and busy... :)

Blossom, blossom , before my eyes
Flowering sweetly, up to the skies
Where you rule, like a queen
The most beautiful sight, ever seen
Spread wonderfully, kiss the air
Fill the tree, that once was bare
Flowering softly, before my eyes
You sweet blossom, you fill my skies
Spring flowers, April 2022
Pink dogwood flowers are used to symbolize love, affection, and romance – in most cases, pink dogwood flowers are interchangeable with red flowers.
My flowering quince shrubs have already peaked - and it's pouring rain here today. There are 100's, maybe 1,000 blossoms this year. A few camellia blossoms are still on, daffodils & Spring trees in bloom. Spring is here in Georgia!
p.s. Sandhill cranes have passed over our house the last 2 days ... heading NW! Always a thrill to hear then see them.
This is a Hawthorn in full bloom, at the beginning of May. The photo was taken two years ago - by my husband, and that's me standing there - but I've added it to this series to show the different stages of the Common Hawthorn, albeit in reverse order :-)

On my way back from Vic Uni I noticed that Bill's Hippeastrum is flowering.
A short break from the Mocker pix. This tree is growing in my neighbor's yard.

Spring flowers, April 2022
Dogwood flowers are most often used as symbols of rebirth. These flowers are closely connected to Christianity, so that meaning makes sense.
Some autumn flowering crocuses at Mona Vale, Christchurch, New Zealand.
Taken on an Autumn evening - sky was a bit bright, so I used the filtering/shading effect of the trees to get the light i wanted for this scene.
This was taken last Autumn - I had been keeping an eye out for these with a view to have another crack at them this year, but as with so many other things, between lockdown and injuring myself it simply wasn't possible. So I decided to see if I couldn't make something of last years photos. I guess the lesson for me is sometimes it is best to stop being a perfectionist and run with what you have, because sometimes what you have turns out to be not so bad after all.
