It is the first time this cactus flowers!
The cactus is relatively special, with several colours. It is a Gymnocalycium mihanovichii variegata.

There are a lot of Jacaranda trees in our street. They make such a wonderful display with their indigo flowers.

I slipped out and spent an hour at the arboretum. There were more people there than I anticipated but I hopefully managed to maintain a safe distance. Because of the worry it wasn't relaxing however, so I didn't stay long. Stay safe, everyone!
We have a big pot of sage in the garden which is flowering at the moment, more so than most years. Sage has a very distinctive purple flower with red buds. Looks like candy and almost good enough to eat (or maybe because it's lunchtime and I'm feeling hungry). Happy Monday!
One of the many colourful flowers in the walled garden at Inverewe Gardens run by the Scottish National Trust.
She was a flower—soft, radiant, and quietly resilient. In the morning light, she unfurled like a petal kissed by the sun, stretching toward warmth and possibility. Her laughter was the fragrance that lingered in the air, sweet and fleeting, leaving traces of joy in the hearts of those who passed her by.
Yet, beneath her delicate beauty lay roots that ran deep, entwined with the earth, holding steady against the winds of doubt and sorrow. She swayed but did not break, danced but did not fall. Seasons would come and go, but she would bloom again—always, endlessly, as only a flower could.
Amazingly warm December days! The Canada Geese are back in Paradise Pond (... behaving like it's Spring...) and the Winter Flowering Heather (Erica carnea) are just beginning to bloom. And, of course, the spiders are fearless and busy... :)

Pink dogwood flowers are used to symbolize love, affection, and romance – in most cases, pink dogwood flowers are interchangeable with red flowers.
My flowering quince shrubs have already peaked - and it's pouring rain here today. There are 100's, maybe 1,000 blossoms this year. A few camellia blossoms are still on, daffodils & Spring trees in bloom. Spring is here in Georgia!
p.s. Sandhill cranes have passed over our house the last 2 days ... heading NW! Always a thrill to hear then see them.
