This flowering weeping tree has captivated me my entire adult life. It's one of those trees that look even more beautiful during the winter months, when the awesome, twisting, cascading branches are exposed and we see parts of the tree that are usually covered by leaves.

This morning I saw Sue's photo of the new leaves on her plant and when I went to look for new leaves on my plant I found it was flowering. I've never seen these flowers before.

A native Ontario wildflower, Bloodroot is one of the early spring blooms. Emerging from the brown leaves along a trail in Bronte Creek Provincial Park, Oakville.

Spotted this image whilst sitting in our rear garden, moss can now be seen on most of the stones that surround the informal koi pond.
It was good to spend some time in the garden today. The sun was shining and birds were singing, a welcome diversion from the barrage of sad and worrying news.

Boutons d'or en fleurs

Il y a des lieux magiques. Lors d'une marche, ma femme et moi avons découvert ce champs de boutons d'or en fleurs. Cette vue colorée reste mémorable et contraste avec le ciel de ce jour.
There are magical places. During a walk, my wife and I discovered this field of blooming buttercups. This colorful sight remains memorable and contrasts with the sky of that day.
Euroa, Victoria. There is a street lined with these flowering gum trees dedicated to the Veterans who fought for Australia.
