July, 27...among the hightlights of the Sarawak Regatta 2009 were the River Floats from various Government agencies and Coprorate bodies taking part. This event was also witnessed by His Majesty, our King.

I think this was a Krewe of Tuck float

On the top of the floats sat a bunch of little kids who played music as the floats paraded around town. Here, two little girls peek out from up top to wave at their family.

After the Rose Parade the floats are moved to a viewing area. From here the public can get an up close look at the detailed work that has gone into the preparation of each float. The viewing area is about a mile and a half so it is a three mile walk by the time you view both sides of the floats, but well worth the trip.
