This photo was photographed outside in natural light in my garden.
This is one image and no editing other than cropping and color tones have been done. No removing of anything was done. I used a dowel attached to the back of the shell and attached to a tripod behind a shrub to give a floating illusion.
To attain the bokeh I had to place the subject and the sun so that the small white flowers, green leaves gives a sort of reflections isolated by empty spaces in between. Also to help further accomplish this the subject was placed further away from the background than it was to the camera.
Spin: The background bokeh along with the shell spiral gives (to me) the effect of spinning.
float: The shell seems to "float" mid-air.
The castle was built by the Venetians in the early 13th c entury. It is among the largest castles in the Mediterranean area. At the south edge of the castle a fortified islet floats. Bourtzi, as it is called, a prison and place of executions during the Turkish Occupation, was built in 1500 and is connected to the Sea Gate of the castle with a paved tiny road.
Well that was a bit disruptive, is everyone still out there?
Just interrupting my Cornish procedures briefly to show you the coastal flowers down here at Hengistbury Head. Annoyingly with my back towards a rather nice sunset but shooting towards a much better view including the Isle of Wight in the distance. South Coast sunsets and sunrises are a little too far back this time of year.

This follows with my night shooting that I've been really enjoying lately.
Taken while walking back from the festival of lights on Robson street. The crowd was large from the fireworks that the city centre was pretty much paralyzed between English Bay and Burrard. The crowd was insane and made for a great photographic subject.

They couldn't have picked a more beautiful river to float down - Snake River in Grand Teton National Park, Wyoming, USA.
I spent last weekend at our summer cottage and it was quite summery :) And now we have an "extended weekend" because today is May Day and tomorrow is also off-school ♥ The weather won't be that nice but at least I'll have some time to edit and post pictures. I'll try to become more active here because I uploaded like 4 photos last month and that just isn't enough for me. I kinda regret the fact I didn't participate ADAW this year, but oh well...
