I want to say that 2012 was one hell of a freaking year, for all of us! I actually got to see who my true friends are while others decided to show their true colors, well fine with me, you go your way I go mines. but other than that, I can say that I am proud of my photostream! for the past 2 years I wasn't that satisfied, till now! 2012 I think brought out my best photos, and I can say that my editing/picture taking/quality has improved my tons, I wonder what 2013 has in store for me ;3

Today Flickr announced a new preview version of their main photo page.

The most significant difference is that photos will now be shown at 640 pixels default on the Flickr page rather than 500 pixels. Flickr has also added a lightbox option where you can simply click on a photo to enlarge it to an even large size on a black background (you can also press the "f" key on your keyboard to toggle back and forth between lightbox view). It is interesting that they are using an old version of the Flickr logo (without the "from Yahoo" tag) in the Lightbox view. They've also significantly enhanced the geotags associated with photos, offering three different map views far away, closer, even closer as you move your mouse over the geotag thumbnail image.

Additionally Flickr has consolidated many of the view and functions associated with an image into "action menus" at the top of the page above the photo and integrated favorites into the comments section.

After playing around with the new page for about a half hour or so I have to say that I think I like it. It feels much cleaner, slicker and easier to navigate. I like the keyboard commands you can use to advance through a photostream. Some of the small differences will take some getting used to, but I think showing off photos bigger is *great.* I think I'd like to see the thumbnails in the sets link slightly bigger, but that's a small complaint. Overall I think that this refresh of the photo page is a welcome improvement for the Flickr experience and am happy to see it.

There is a "gut reaction" thread where Flickr users are expressing their opinions on the new page design that you can check out here. Right now it feels like initial reaction is trending positive on the change over negative by a meaningful margin from the Flickr community.

Last night a group of 10 us, 10 active Flickr users, discussed and debated the new Flickr. You can watch this show here: thomashawk.com/2013/05/the-hangout-where-we-review-the-ne...

What do YOU think about the new Flickr? Love it? Hate it? Undecided?

Hope you all have wonderful holidays! xoxo

LOTUS SET

Lotus Europa S is a GT-type two-seat sports car, designed as a modern version of the Europa line of the 1960s and 1970s.

Described as a more relaxed car than the Elise and its derivative the Exige, The Europa comes with a larger boot, and more soundproofing and easier cabin access due to the lower chassis sides and higher roof line. It also include luxuries such as air conditioning, a sound system, leather interior, and plush interior carpeting as standard equipment in keeping with European Grand Touring (GT) auto tradition.

The Europa is a light weight car of 995 kg, with a 200bhp 2.0 L engine. It uses an extruded and bonded aluminium chassis with composite body panels and front crash structure, and shares the same chassis as the Type 111 Elise. The Europa bears a separate Lotus model designation (Type 121) due, in part, to its longer chassis and completely new body type. The mid-engined two-seat coupe has a 2.0 L turbocharged GM Ecotec engine, the Z20LER, producing 147 kW (200 PS; 197 hp) mated to a six speed Gertrag M32 transmission., allowing the car to achieve the 0-60mph sprint in 5.5 seconds with a top speed of 143mph.

The Europa S was replaced by the more potent Europa SE in 2008, it was given a more positive press response than the S it replaced, given the increase in power and improved handling Lotus stopped production of the Europa SE in early 2010 due to new emission standards. Only 48 cars were built thereby making it the rarest production road car ever built by Lotus

The car was originally planned to be manufactured at parent company Proton's factory in Malaysia, allowing for a lower sale price, but ultimately the company chose the Lotus Hethel factory for the car's production, with deliveries from September 2006.

The Flickr Lounge-Glass

The weather ball can predict the weather. When I snapped this photo we were experiencing a lot of clouds cover snow and wind...as it says in the "Large Flakes." This is a great way to tell what's going on!

Clear liquid : Bright weather.

Crystals at bottom : Thick air, frost in winter. Dim liquid with small stars : Thunderstorms.

Large flakes : Heavy air, overcast sky, snow in winter. Threads in upper portion of liquid : Windy weather.

Small dots : Damp weather, fog. Rising flakes which remain high : Wind in the upper air regions.

Small stars : In winter on bright, sunny days, snow in one or two days. The higher the crystals rise in the glass tube in winter the colder it will be."

The Downgrade of Free

Flickr’s free accounts will now be limited to storing a combined total of 1,000 photos and videos. Photos aren’t limited by resolution and are stored in their original quality.

Prior to this change, Flickr users on the free plan were given 1 terabyte, or 1,000 gigabytes, of free storage space at full resolution. Since 1 terabyte can hold 20,000 files weighing 50MB each (which is way more than most photos), this new limit of 1,000 files is clearly a downgrade for photo-happy Flickr photographers.

“Unfortunately, ‘free’ services are seldom actually free for users,” SmugMug says. “Users pay with their data or with their time. We would rather the arrangement be transparent.”

-they like people in nice clothing..i guess.

-they like interesting things..so i put my eye glasses in front.

-my lenses of coarse i thought had to be there.

-my computer represents flickr(go mac)

-and then a photoshop book i am reading(i never read that book though)

hope ya'll like it.
