While no technological masterpiece, this old egg beater is an obsolete dinosaur by today's standards - these days cakes are mostly made using electric mixers or food processors. But this old egg beater has served me well, having mixed cakes week in, week out when my family was growing up.
I could have taken a shot of the egg beater doing nothing, but thought I should whip up a 'throw it all in together and mix' type cake. The recipe called for the eggs to be beaten with some caster sugar till thick and creamy and then add the rest of the ingredients and combine. Now it's cooked, I suppose I'm going to have to eat it so my efforts aren't wasted.
These Fritillary butterflies drive my crazy because they always land updside down and facing the ground as opposed to most butterflies who land right side up on a flower. Tough to capture. Enjoy!

#31/365 Flickr Meet up! Well not really. Couple weeks back I met Hector (aka bigboydrums) on the flickr. We did decided to hook up. I bought him lunch and had some laughs. I'm a little worried though...you see he hasn't called me since. Should I call him? Is it too early? Is that too forward? aaarrhh...I hate this! :P
This shot was actually us messing around with some speedlights in the back of the studio. Hector is not only a fellow strobist but a professional drummer...as you can see he has the rock glare down...or it could be the fact that it was 1PM in southern california and the sun was out full force.
