13 month ago I started posting photos on Flickr. It has been a good journey. I find much inspiration in the work of fellow Flickr photographers. I see Flickr as a sharing platform where we can learn from each other. I love to share my secret sauce on HDR processing in the hope that it is helpful to you guys and gals.

I've been trying to get up some enthusiasm to post something on this mess of a website that flickr has become.

I didn't want to post anything until my monstrosity of a home page finished loading. I opened my homepage sometime yesterday morning. 30 hours later, it's STILL loading. Is there actually a bottom to the new flickr homepage. Has flickr ever considered that there may be people with a limit to how many gig per month they can load on the internet? Anyone getting internet on a smartphone generally has a limit.

Loading… Loading… Loading… Loading… Loading… Loading… Loading… Loading… Loading…

So, now we can see 20 comments under a photo rather than just four. That's a step in the right direction. Maybe flickr is listening somewhat to the millions of complaints. Unfortunately that hasn't fixed the main problem. It's the FIRST 20 comments we need to see under a photo, not the LAST 20 comments. I have posted hundreds of photo series, or picture stories. Now any photo that has more than 20 comments, those comment photos are not visible unless you click on "View 20 more comments". Who is going to do that? How would anyone even know that there are additional photos posted in the comments? This NEEDS to be fixed, flickr. Thousands of hours of work by myself and many others posting photo series has been destroyed.

Has flickr ever heard of beta testing?

I opened my flickr homepage last week and it was like I was punched in the face…

And, why is the comment box so damn small. I can't even read what I just typed five seconds ago?

Photograph taken at 10:57am on Saturday 9th March 2013 off the A5 and A4086 at Llynnau Mymbyr (also known as the Capel Curig lakes), two lakes located in Dyffryn Mymbyr, a valley running from the village of Capel Curig to the Pen-y-Gwryd hotel in Snowdonia, north-west Wales.

This is actually a single lake originally called Llyn Mymbyr, with a maximum depth of 30 feet and three quarters of a mile in length with a delta that has built up midway along the north shore, hence the plural name. The river feeding the lakes is the Nantygwryd (or Nant-y-gwryd), which has its source at Llyn Cwm-y-ffynnon, also marked on maps as the Nant Gwryd, which is a tributary of the Afon Llugwy. The two rivers join at Capel Curig.
