Although it's always the same beach, it looks different every evening. An exceptional sunset like the one in March 2019 can always happen, but it is rare. It needs the right cloud structure. At the moment it is too cloudy in the south of Sri Lanka.

hello, everybody. just popping in to let you know i am still here, even if barely. arrived in Manila last Sunday and now enjoying the company of Arnel, aka lenareh and his family. i hope you all are keeping well. i won't be able to visit your streams at the moment as i don't have much time to be online. in fact, i must sign off now to prepare for the next leg of my visit. on to Daet, Camarines Norte, scene of this jump shot.

Had a wonderful Tennessee trip this year. Got to guide Flickr friend Ruthie Kansas for 2 days plus a 3rd morning. I also got to explore some new locations in Kentucky one of which had more Ceru1ean warblers than I've ever encountered-over 30 singing in a bit over 5 miles of road.
*Happy "Cat" Friday - The Outtakes **Chiyo went to see the vet Friday and everything seems to be going well. The vet wants to see her back in 6 months, which obviously made us (cautiously) very happy to hear. The big thing this weekend is Chiyo's diet has changed from dry food to wet, and she is doing the "stubborn cat thing" but otherwise she has been acting like she feels much better. Thank you ALL so much for your prayers and messages of support. Please continue to keep Chiyo in your thoughts and prayers. Thank you.

I actually made this Valentine picture for the last Valentin's day Asha was with me but I never uploaded it. I just wasn't pleased with it for some reason. Looking at the picture now I don't know why. I'm proud to be uploading it now and it feels special that it was made when she was alive rather than a picture put together afterwards. Happy Valentine's from Asha, Ashala and me...
