So I decided to "go PRO" -- not because I wanted to -- but because Flickr got rid of sorting by View, Faves, etc. (huge bummer tbh). Anyways, I figure it's a small way to support Flickr which I have invested so much time / effort over the years, so I encourage others to do so -- let's keep this special community alive and kicking.

Hey everyone, I found an alternative to Flickr which is almost exactly like it. The views are pretty good and so is the favourites (so I noticed in the first 20 minutes of uploading). The only thing it’s lacking is our Lego community which I think needs to be rebuilt. Flickr is dying and nobody is saying to abandon ship yet, but it doesn’t hurt to have a backup plan. Instagram and other platforms aren’t as supportive of our community as I have found out the hard way. But we can make this our new home for customs, story writing, groups and everything. If we unite together on this platform I know it can go back to the great days of Flickr. So please join and let’s rebuild Flickr. Plus, you get “pro” for like 2 weeks free then it’s your standard normal account where you can upload 7 images per week for however long you want. Here’s the link:

UPDATE: The website is still in development (Beta) stage so making groups is not a feature yet but will eventually become one. I will be making a Lego DC Group, Lego Marvel Group, Lego OCs Group (like the LoLH) or hopefully just get the LoLH started up on there. Oh and of course The Flickr/Flicker Fighters! I also think I speak for everyone here when I say I’d it would be awesome to get some people to start and moderate a new EWSG (so any volunteers?).
UPDATE #2: Recur got banned from the site by having a picture that said “comment if your not a bot” so it has to strictly be pictures only folks.

In other words that means, that German users can not access photos on flickr that are not flagged "safe" ... only flowers and landscapes for the germans ...

3,000 Flickr Photos
Wow! Today marks the 3,000th photo I have shared on Flickr.
I have gone through a couple of Flickr evolutions since I first joined in 2007. The early days where I was excruciatingly nervous about posting images of myself and I can still recall the sweaty palms of nerves as I hit send that very first time. The (as I look back now) OMG did you seriously post that? The ummm poor fashion choices and so many weird expressions. But the number one most important thing that came from those early days were the friends and how so many of them are still friends with me on Flickr and maybe most importantly, getting to meet in person so many wonderful girls.
Then came the purge. In hindsight (though noble) it was slightly misguided and foolish. Deleting all of those photos but I thought I had found someone that truly could accept this part of me and it was one of the boundaries that was set, limiting the amount of photos on Flickr.
So 2014 was the end and the beginning of the new Flickr for me and it was the sheer relief of true acceptance and understanding of me, myself and I. Kim was here to stay and if that meant I walk this journey alone to be personally happy, then so be it. With that in mind I was busy around this time. Refining my look and getting better at photos and just going out and being around people and expressing my Kimself. I was back on Flickr and I was enjoying everything that it offers.
Now here I am in 2021. Happy. Content. Proud. Peaceful. My connections have expanded with many more contacts. My personal friends and some family know. I have a solid base of true likeminded friends that I have been extremely fortunate to have met in person. For me, I feel that I am able to be Kim when I want and how I want and it is now on my terms.
I share photos. I share my journey. I share the evolution. 3,000 photos was never a goal and maybe you think that it is just a bit much but I have never felt that I was trying to share anything more than what I wanted to share and so I share on a daily basis.
Flickr remains a wonderful platform for connecting with friends both old and new so I offer this as a thank you to you my friends and to Flickr for being a part of my journey – the three phases of Kim and Flickr.
I hope you, my friends are doing wonderfully and I look forward to seeing you here on Flickr and hopefully in person soon. Be well. Much love. Kim
Thanks for the kind comments.... These islands in Malaysia (my country) are one of the Top 10 Dive sites in the world but also present an amazing opportunity for topside sunset/rise photography. As a city deweller you seldom get views like this but when you do it is a humbling experience to be able to capture it.

Inside a forest Resort at Wayanad District (Malayalam: വയനാട്) in the north-east of Kerala, India.
Wayanad District (Malayalam: വയനാട്) in the north-east of Kerala, India, was formed on November 1, 1980 as the 12th district by carving out areas from Kozhikode and Kannur districts. Kalpetta is the district headquarters as well as the only municipal town in the district. The region was known as Mayakshetra (Maya's land) in the earliest records. Mayakshetra evolved into Mayanad and finally to Wayanad. The Folk etymology of the word says it is a combination of Vayal (paddy field) and Naad (land), making it 'The Land of Paddy Fields'. There are many indigenous tribals in this area. It is set high on the majestic Western Ghats with altitudes ranging from 700 to 2100 m.
It is the least populous district in Kerala (out of 14).

Protest proti narcistickému chování Flickru a Yahoo z průběhu tohoto týdne byl velice úspěšný.
Pokud by teď protestní aktivity pohasly, byl by to velmi špatný signál.
Návrh:
Poté, co se protestní fotografie plné kreativity a fantazie pevně umístily na vývěsce Flickru v "Explore / Interestingness", by je teď měla následovat klidná, monochromatická šeď.
Zase to zabere hodiny favorizování, připisování poznámek a komentářů, ale už jen ta představa, že celý obsah Flickru na chvíli vlastně zmizí, až se stane tím, čím teď vlastně je, by měl stát za to...
