Experimenting again, this time with the flash.
Spent some time at Longwood Gardens fooling with Off Camera Flash. The idea here was to manually set the camera to UNDER EXPOSE the image causing the backgrounds to become darker. The off camera flash was optically triggered to throw some light onto the flower in the foreground. It took some experimenting to determine the best flash power setting. Going off camera with the flash also allowed positioning it to reduce shadows. The camera's built-in flash was set to a low power setting (-3) so it would not contribute much towards lighting the scene but was still enough to act as a trigger.
There was a thunder-storm over my home tonight and I took a hand at attempting to capture some lightning, there were lots of bursts, but either never in frame or my shutter was closed at the time.
And no, he does not like that. But you can see him better. I'm also posting more of his spots, and body here too.

poiché è la mia persona inesprimibile a dargli identità.
Se solo potessi
ne imprigionerei i resti sulle trame della tela.

Photowalk 37 of 52 - Killen's Pond - Manual / Flash and Umbrella
For this walk I wasn't exactly sure what to do. It was drizzling rain and on Sunday so I needed to do something. The rest of the week had been busy so this was the only time I had to do my photowalk. I decided to play with my flash and my new flash stand and umbrella. I took two of my kids to the park with me and we found a nice little place to take some shots without the rain interfering.

Flash Lightnin' is a Toronto-based power trio whose legend was born in 2007 at the Dakota Tavern, a wood-paneled and raucous basement bar in the heart of the city's Queen West district
Strolling through the Piazza one night we came across this group performing a FlashMob dance performance with all their carry bags placed in the centre they formed a large circle to perform their act to the accompanying music with their coordinator walking around the inside edge and filming each performers facial expressions . The crowd was enjoying the spectacle with many cameras clicking away until the police arrived on the scene and stopped the whole show much to the annoyance of the assembled spectators with hissing and booing at their displeasure .
