Photowalk 37 of 52 - Killen's Pond - Manual / Flash and Umbrella
For this walk I wasn't exactly sure what to do. It was drizzling rain and on Sunday so I needed to do something. The rest of the week had been busy so this was the only time I had to do my photowalk. I decided to play with my flash and my new flash stand and umbrella. I took two of my kids to the park with me and we found a nice little place to take some shots without the rain interfering.

Taken with 30 seconds at f=5.6. Wearing dark clothes, I took a Canon 550EX flashlight with a blue Honl gel, walked towards the bench and tree and manually flashed twice at full strength.
I'm into flashing, these days (you wish...!) The AG1 worked fine, but with the Sun tele-aux the distance is too large: only the reflectors show the flash.
The 1992 Свема64 is "snowy", but OK.
3 yongnuo 560s, which probably could have worked had I not put the power so strong. All bounced off ceiling from left and right side of image as well as mounted on camera.

Essentials: That I need to use more often.
2x Yongnuo YN460 Speedlites and my Canon 580EX II.
I recommend the Yongnuo's, they're an extremely cheap way to get into off camera flash.
So, I didn't take this picture. I'm not even sure who did, but it was taken during a party with my camera. Jessica holding her Olympus, which is nice except for it's annoying habit of flashing to help the autofocus in low-light. Here she's caught in the action.

UPDATE: This was a bug in the software that showed up whenever I checked the "remove ghosts" option... here's a better version, although I did have to "remove ghosts" manually... www.flickr.com/photos/bigduke6/8426723187
