Description:Fill Flash

Trying out Chris' "acronymic design" flash with my camera. Turns out it works great!

Rachael brought together 6 of us (Chris, Jen, Joanna, Kathy, Rachael, myself) for a great stir-fry "easter dinner" at my place.

took this in a lit room, shot with the flash off camera to the left just out of frame.

I'm just got a light stand, an umbrella and some connector gadgets (I swear it's like tinkertoys for adults; but way more expensive than tinkertoys). Mike was sitting on the couch so I had to take some shots of him. I love the smirk he has as I'm bounding around him trying out a reflector (but not used in this shot) and moving the light stand.

I think it's a little bright on the right side (probably should have dialed back the flash compensation a bit). Just leaves room for improvement. and I love him for sitting there and letting me take his photo.

The flooded car park at my work. This was taken about 3 hours after the torrential rain stopped and just about everyone had swam to their cars to move them!

Scampi's bulging eye.

All the lighting for these shots was provided entirely by an on camera flash, no ambient lighting was used at all.

Turned on the flash to experiment with light reflection, this is what turned out when I used my hand as a flash shield.
