Wool spun into an orb with a hint of ribbons.
I was going to do a few light domes and a some more ribbons until the country park suddenly became a car park for boy racers! I closed the shutter and then headed home! (last shot of that night).

The fire department on Yokosuka Navy Base had an open house today. I was able to get some photos of the trucks and equipment they use.
Photo credits go to my daughter, Deanna.
I wish I could make a fire bird so big so it could warm up the sky and heat up the cold hearts of all the people. I wish I could melt away all hate and all the fear in the world.
I wish the fire bird would land on all humanity bringing peace and love.
I walked out my back door around 4p on Sunday June 19, 2011 to work a mitre saw I had set up, and saw a column of fire and smoke. I ran back inside, screamed for Jennifer to come out, grabbed a phone and called 911; but before anyone could answer, I heard sirens so I hung up and ran thru the yards to see what was going on. A house on the street behind mine was deep in fire. The trucks showed up about 5-7 minutes after I first saw the fire, but there was already a firepolice officer on the scene in the driveway of the house next door.
I shot about 15 minutes of video, but also snapped a few stills. Despite the fact there were small explosions (probably from the car inside the garage and propane tanks) we were allowed to stand relatively close.
I don't know the family but they all got out OK. The fire was apparently started by some hot coals from a barbeque that had been thrown in the trash. What a horrible, horrible thing to have happen. I feel very ill from this. I wouldn't wish this on anyone.
Why do we have such a fascination with fire? We went to a bonfire night celebration tonight and I was fascinated by the fire, I realised my children have not really seen a bonfire as we just do not have them any more, they loved it.
I played with my new Maxstone remote, children played with fire.
