Nose of a fire truck in Julian, California

Taken a day trip to Julian, a town known for its apple pies and I can vouch that they are delicious. We continued on to Aranza Borrego Desert State Park

Lighting the fire during a cold Albany winter. Taken with Pentax 50mm f1.4 (via adaptor). Another 'cross-process' look thingy with grain added in post despite the shot being taken at ISO 6400.

Over 4,000 gathered in Chicago on Friday, January 2 2008 to call for a stop to Israeli attacks on the Gaza Strip, the brutal killings of innocent civilians, the restoration of the cease-fire and the initiation of peace negotiations in the Middle East during the coming year. The protest was sponsored by over 30 organizations including the Arab American Action Network (AAAN), mosques, faith groups, student groups, Latino groups, anti-war groups, and CAIR-Chicago and joined hundreds of thousands nationally and internationally.

Man, I haven't uploaded anything in awhile. and this is nothing spectacular.

The back of Fortes Cafe, Barry Island. I hope they never redecorate it.

hot off the memory card

Around 6pm several fire trucks, including one ladder truck, and some paramedics converged on 24th and Bartlett streets.

Apparently some fire fighters entered through the front door of the building, but a small group converged in the rear of the building on the stairwell.

I heard a chainsaw intermittently for about 30 minutes, but couldn't really see what was actually happening.

After a while the fire fighters started leaving and it appeared they were carrying wet, burnt pieces of wood. I'm not sure where said wood originated from, but perhaps the back stairwell?

Thankfully it doesn't appear that anyone got hurt, but I'm not sure of the condition of the building and if anyone was displaced.
