House Fire
St. Mary's Street - Garner
Garner FD, Fairview FD, Eastern Wake FD, Wake EMS, Garner PD
This is an image from the Arrow of Light / Crossing Over Ceremony. From Webelos to Boy Scouts. The out of focus Indian is not a Photoshoped effect. That effect was created by the heat of the fire.
This is the well site that blew just outside of Edmonton back at the end of 2004. I spent a fair amount of time dodging security -- including having to crawl across a field on my stomach -- to get these shots.

Dunstable Fire Station on 10th October 2004. Taken at an open day at the fire station's previous location at the junction of Brewers Hill Road and High Street North.
Went for a ride out to Cedar Key with our church motorcycle ministry and of course I had to take my camera with me. These are a few shots from that ride. Unfortunately most are of a house fire which completely destroyed a 58 year old woman's beautiful home and she lost her dog as well. Prayers for healing as she was badly burned and is critical condition in an Ocala hospital.
In Singapore's Night Safari. Just before going on the safari in a tram we were treated to this spectacular performance by the tribals of Borneo. It was a very energetic and fascinating performance - one that truly depicted the tribal spirit.
In India too there are many tribals. The state in which I live, Jharkhand was created for tribal welfare. From a third party perspective ( I am not a tribal neither am I in the government), tribals are being let down terribly by the demagogues who claim to be their 'leaders''. Tribals have a very different set of beliefs, art forms, crafts, etc. However, there is negligible effort being made to preserve them. Tribal welfare measures adopted by Indian Government are flawed, like: reservation policy, tribal lands policy. India has to preserve it's tribal cultural heritage and showcase it in an appropriate manner.

Every full moon there is a gathering of drummers and assorted performance artists for an impromptu drum circle on the sands of Miami Beach. The fire dancers are one the the high points of the night's festivities.
