Filling the Frame for Macro mondays with a flower from our wonderful Alexander Rose.
This rose survives with little attention (read: none). It blooms at all sorts of times on the year, and has featured as my POTD many times.
For those who don't know, it was given to us by a close friend when our son was christened. He is now 30. It has moved house with us, and is placed outside his bedroom (now our "spare room") window.
Each flower is about 4.5" in diameter, and this is a small section of one quarter of the bloom. Photographed with my Lensbaby Velvet 56 close to the nearest focussing point. The Velvet gives a lovely soft feel, this is at about f4, so not totally glowing.

Never again say that there is nothing beautiful in the world, if more than a thousand leaves do not convince you of it. Take your time on your walks and observe those beautiful leaves dancing in the wind and their trunks that keep stories of times past.
Thanks for your visit and comments, very much appreciated!
Up close and personal to this lovely rose!

Thanks to everyone who views this photo, adds a note, leaves a comment and of course BIG thanks to anyone who chooses to favourite my photo .... Thanks to you all!
The MM topic for next Monday 1/27 is “fill the frame with plants”- real or artificial. These are obviously not real flowers (we’ve had seriously cold temperatures in New England) but these flowers were cunningly crafted of wood chips- cut, shaped, and dyed.

Detail of a computer screen. The line going from bottom left to top right is actually a one pixel wide white line, composed of red, green and blue sub pixels. The image is roughly 2mm wide.
Photo was taken with an Olympus OMD-M1.2 and the 60mm macro, 3 extension tubes and a Raynox 250. High-Res shot was used and then cropped.
