After days of deep snow, ice, and arctic temperatures, this green leaf with frost emerges on the other side.

I bought this Cloth of Gold (Conus Textile) shell about 10 days ago. It's the second one I've bought for my small shell collection and it has a nicer pattern than my other one.
When down in the deep blue seas of warm tropical waters these are one of the most dangerous sea shells to handle.
Definitely Dreaming 'fill the frame' theme. (28/52)
One of my least favourite farm chores is piling firewood. My husband considers this fun and good exercise. I consider it "detention" lol. Ok, I am kidding, it isn't detention. Well, maybe just a bit. He likes to cut down dead trees from our bush, cut it up with the chainsaw and then splits it all by hand with an ax. This happens from fall until spring, until it is time to work on getting the crops in. The funny thing about this whole wood thing is we don't even burn it! Just some here and there for a campfire night. Whatever wood we cut gets sold to other people who like to burn wood. On average he splits and sells about 50 face cords of firewood a year. No gym membership needed. Crazy guy...he makes the rest of us look lazy lol
the macromonday theme for today, 6/1, is fill-the-frame. methinks there are 5+ possibilities. this one is probably my favorite :) it's a portion of a camera strap.
there are 7 possibilities today. in a moment i'll change the order on my photostream putting the ones i like best at the front.... then i'll dither, as i usually do :)

How about filling the frame with a Turkey and Swiss sandwich, with a little spicy brown mustard?
HMM!
Simplicity is beautiful. Just a few lines. Soft colors. Peaceful image in jarring times. Light was shining through and making the tulip translucent.
I took this shot for the Macro Mondays theme `Fill the frame'. A frame-filling macro of some springs that came from my old kitchen units. I kept them thinking they might make some interesting shots---I might use them again for something else :D
A bowl of shelled pistachios provided inspiration for this weeks Macro Mondays theme "fill the frame".

I bought a copy of this book of cartoons in a second-hand bookshop nearly seventy years ago. I don't know what happened to it but I bought another copy recently on the internet. The cartoons are very amusing.
