Taxiing for departure to Vancouver on a FedEx service is this brand new Cessna SkyCourier. It is registered to Morningstar Air Express of Edmonton.
Having crossed Runway 9/27, a FedEx MD10 taxis to the ramp on the northside of Memphis International.
What are the odds...out of all the FedEx MD11's in the fleet (currently around 64), I saw this same airframe last spring on my Phoenix trip (www.flickr.com/photos/md11forever/9410276553/)...but now in a MUCH colder environment we see it departing Chicago O'Hare on January 19, 2014. In the background, an AA 737 is throwing up a nice rooster tail of snow as it rolls for departure on 32L.
"S/N" is the aircraft's serial number. "L/N" is a Boeing code denoting what order the airframe came off the production line. "F/N" refers to an individual airline's fleet numbering system. Not all airlines use a fleet number; not all manufacturers use a line number.
