Arriving from the Lone Star State, N123FE ends its one-hour flight from Dallas to Memphis.

It's June 2013 and FedEx MD-10-30F N314FE has it's days numbered for the company. Seen here on the Memphis ramp with the logos painted out. The tri-jet will find itself in Bolivia a few weeks later flying for TAB Cargo as CP-2791. It's still flying there in 2025. The McDonnell Douglas product was delivered new to Federal Express in August 1988 as a DC-10-30F. It was converted into an MD10 in November 2009.

FedEx MD-11F N523FE taxis to take-off for Detroit from Memphis.

Former Delta Air Lines MD-11 N807DE became FedEx MD-11F N521FE in 2006. This jet spent over two years stored at Victorville, CA, from Feb 2019 to Aug 2021. Here the tri-jet is parked on the FedEx maintenance ramp at Memphis.

FedEx MD11 N528FE (ex-Delta N814DE) arrives to Memphis from San Antonio.

At Memphis International in March 2013, FedEx MD11F N585FE sports the Panda Express decals for its participation in bringing pandas to the Toronto Zoo. The former American Airlines tri-jet (N1759) was retired to Victorville, California, in February 2024.

Built for World Airways in 1979 as a DC10, N318FE is now an MD10 for FedEx and is the first in a long line of company jets on a rainy Memphis ramp.

This is the first MD-11 built by McDonnell Douglas and served as a test-bed aircraft in 1990 with registration N111MD.

 

Delivered in 1991, it flew for FedEx until May 2023 when it was retired to Victorville, California.

Ex-American Airlines (N1767A) MD-11 N599FE is parked on the ramp at FedEx's Los Angeles sort facility at LAX in March 2022. The aircraft was removed from service in January 2025 and stored at Victorville, California.

A FedEx MD-11 lands on Runway 17C at DFW Airport. This aircraft was originally delivered to American Airlines as N1765B in 1993.

"Preserved at MIA 21 Jul 2011 as a training aid for the Airport Fire Department and as an instructional airframe for the George T Baker Technical College. The aircraft has been repainted into a tribute scheme for the "Caleb and Calder Sloan's Awesome Foundation" and has been renamed "Awesome One"."

Landing on Runway 36L at Memphis International, FedEx MD-11F N625FE has arrived from Anchorage, Alaska. This McDonnell Douglas tri-jet flew for Garuda Indonesia, Varig and Finnair before coming to FX in September 2010.

Originally delivered to American Airlines in March 1993, FedEx MD-11F N595FE lands at Memphis after a flight from Los Angeles. Severe westerly winds on this day had all traffic landing on Runway 27.

Blowing in from the Windy City of Chicago, N294FE is a six-month old FedEx 767 landing in Memphis on Runway 18L.

Arriving to Memphis International is FedEx MD10 N398FE. The former United Airlines DC10 (N1841U) was retired and parked at Victorville, California, in January 2015.

It's August 2013 as FedEx MD10 N383FE taxis to the company ramp after an arrival. This jet first flew for United Airlines as N1817U in 1973. It was retired to Victorville, California, in May 2021.

Still a DC-10, FedEx N40061 taxis out after the afternoon hub turn at Memphis International. Originally delivered to Laker Aiways in March 1979, FedEx later converted this airframe to an MD-10. It was retired to Victorville, California, in October 2018.

FedEx MD-11F N602FE is seen in August 2013 being used for de-ice practice in Memphis. This airframe was the second MD11 built and one of the McDonnell Douglas test bed aircraft (N211MD) for the tri-jet program. It was retired to Victorville, California, in January 2024.

In the shadows of Hangar 11 & 12 at Memphis International is FedEx 727-100 N107FE. The Boeing workhorse was originally delivered to United Airlines in June 1967 as N7427U. It came to Federal Express in 1978 and was retired in June 2006. It was donated to Columbus State Community College in South Carolina.

Operated by Mountain Air Cargo, FedEx Feeder N800FX is an ATR72 seen at Memphis International Airport.

Arriving to Memphis from Philadelphia is FedEx 767 N294FE.

FedEx A300 N730FD is parked on the company maintenance ramp at Memphis. The Airbus wide-body was originally delivered to Garuda Indonesia (PK-GAQ) in October 1992.

Fourteen year old FedEx 777 N855FD is leaving Memphis for Honolulu with @mark.ifly in the captain's seat.
