Pepper Annie takes Adeline and Ellabella for a ride. All three of these dolls were sculpted and painted by Nikki Britt.
The garden birds are eating at a tremendous rate at the moment, especially the Starlings who are raising their young.
This young Starling was perched right at the top of the pinnacle on the feeders and sat there for a good five minutes as the adult birds made raids on the coconut feeders gathering clumps of the fatty stuff and as you can see the young make very short work of it.
Tíre Keep is one of the most valuable strongholds of Avalonia. Though it has never been occupied, it's real advantage is the lighthouse: Avalonian ships are ensured they will not get lost the Great Western Ocean.

...it's wonderful to see these killers being put through their paces at the International Centre for Birds of Prey. This one is panting, trying to get air into its lungs as it cuts through the air. Photo taken with a Nikon D810 and 300mm f/2.8 VR lens with a x 1.4 TC.

Reconnaissance Marines from the Maritime Raid Force, 24th Marine Expeditionary Unit, fast-rope from a CH-53E Super Stallion helicopter alongside Jordanian Marines during Exercise Eager Lion 12 in Jordan May 14. During Eager Lion 12, the 24th MEU will participate in a variety of training exercises with partnered nations at different locations throughout the country to increase interoperability and learn about other countries' militaries. Eager Lion 12 is a recurring, multi-national exercise designed to strengthen military-to-military relationships through a joint, whole-of-government, multinational approach to future complex national security challenges. The 24th MEU, partnered with the Iwo Jima Amphibious Ready Group, is currently deployed to the U.S. Central Command area of operations as a theater reserve and crisis response force. The helicopters are from Marine Medium Tiltrotor Squadron VMM-261 (Reinforced), the aviation combat element for the 24th MEU.

I have been undertaking a lot of Ratcliffe "project" shots recently in an attempt to make a calender suitable for colleauges & friends at the power station. Here are a couple of my latest and the calender is now completed. Lets hope it goes down ok & perhaps its time to divert my attentions onto other subjects :-)
