The sun, shifted off to the south, bathes a late fall woodland in infrared light illuminating leaves with a surreal glow. In this image the native tones of bronze sky and slate trees are swapped to give a some sense of familiarity to images made in a spectrum mostly alien to human eyes.

Niagara always amaze me and I never get bored by going there again and again. Each time, I was mesmerized by its flow of current and charming beauty. I simply stand there and find how small we are in front of this mother nature's wonder!
The photo on the left was yesterday, the one on the right was taken on December 3rd. I have said it many times..."what crazy weather!!!"

Loaded frac sand train NS 68N is eastbound approaching Clay Center with 4 different class I railroads represented on the head end. They're passing fields with three different crops including the yellow beanfield in the foreground that's a distinctively midwestern marker of the Fall season. Clay Center, OH 9/29/2021
My appreciation and thanks to all of you for your comments awards and faves.

You said you have chestnut hair
And a chestnut-like sparkle in your eyes
And it felt so good to be together, beloved,
Among the golden leaves, the wind, and the stars
When the wind pelted the chestnuts with hail
You suddenly whispered, lowering your voice,
I am leaving today, but where I'm going
I'll take with me this golden night
Beloved, beloved
Chestnuts are falling off of trees as before
Right under the feet of laughing couples
Like the russet one they hail down
When at night in the alley
The russet chestnut I gave you and my heart
And you said three words to me and nothing more
That you love me and the wind...

First photo of the year with fall colors. I am honestly very excited about it, Love Love the colors of fall. Can't wait.
The nearly 100 m high Kegon Waterfall is the most famous of Nikko's many beautiful waterfalls. In fact, the waterfall is ranked as one of the three most beautiful and tallest waterfalls in Japan, along with the Nachi waterfall in Wakayama prefecture and the Fukuroda waterfall in Ibaraki prefecture.
The Kegon waterfall is the only exit for the water of Chuzenji Lake. There are twelve smaller waterfalls behind and to the side of the Kegon waterfall. The crashing water can be seen from a free observation platform that is easily accessible on foot, as well as from a paid platform at the base of the falls. The paid platform is accessible via a 100-meter deep elevator and offers a more impressive view. One can also enjoy the sight of the Kegon Waterfall combined with the Chuzenji Lake from the Akechidaira Observatory, which can be reached by cable car from the Akechidaira Plateau.
Kegon waterfall is also a popular place to admire the fall colors. The trees around the waterfall are usually most colorful from mid to late October. In winter, the waterfall is also impressive when it freezes almost completely.
