I don’t know you
But I want you
All the more for that
Words fall through me
And always fool me
And I can’t react
And games that never amount
To more than they’re meant
Will play themselves out
Take this sinking boat and point it home
We’ve still got time
Raise your hopeful voice you have a choice
You’ve made it now
Falling slowly, eyes that know me
And I can’t go back
Moods that take me and erase me
And I’m painted black
You have suffered enough
And warred with yourself
It’s time that you won
Take this sinking boat and point it home
We’ve still got time
Raise your hopeful voice you have a choice
You’ve made it now
Take this sinking boat and point it home
We’ve still got time
Raise your hopeful voice you have a choice
You’ve made it now
Falling slowly sing your melody
I’ll sing along
(Glen Hansard - Markèta Iglova)
I thought I'd be shooting in four feet of snow by now, but it just isn't flying yet. So here is another fall shot.
Autumn/Fall Crocus (Colchicum) are popping up now. They're as delicate and short-lived as their Spring cousins, but 3-4 times larger. More signs of Fall's arrival on Wednesday.
FALL FEST 2017 - Students celebrated the Fall semester by enjoying free bubble tea, food, free giveaways, games on November 2, 2017. Sponsored by the Office of Student Life.
The leaves are falling in the woods and the Squirrels are stealing each others stash of food, so much fun just watching these crafty little creatures and lovely to see.

Swift River Covered Bridge
Conway, New Hampshire
Last fall's visit to this beautiful old bridge was a return visit for me, and I'd like to return again, preferably later in the year with fall foliage colors on display. While staying on Highland Lake in Maine, near the New Hampshire border, I happened upon it at the time of its 1991 rededication, when red, white, and blue bunting decorated the bridge and a ceremony had just ended. Photos from that visit are among my film archives. I was happy to see the bridge had been well cared-for in the intervening quarter-century. The 129-foot single-span bridge over the Swift River in Conway, New Hampshire, was built in 1869 and restored in 1991; it is of Paddleford truss-with-arch construction. The preceding shot shows the bridge's interior.

Don't look at me: I am too feeble
Don't hope for me: I've bowed to doom
I am falling down in hope and I don't believe
I'm crawling to misery... you can see
I would pray for you
Yet I find no words, I have no strength
I hold my breath and my fate bleeds
For you... only for you
I am the colorless
I am a dead palette... oh, you can see
I would pray for you
Yet I find no words, I have no strength
I hold my breath and my fate bleeds
For you... only for you
In misery I crawl
In fear I take my soul
In misery I growl
And I bleed for all
I am falling down in hope
I am falling down in hope

its about time I posted these old ones considering I will be photographing the coming Fall soonish .. but we are in a heatwave today .. and 3 months of no rain ..
I am trying so hard to get out there in this great weather and sensational colors. This image was shot in on my way to work. Not much of a story to tell here. Single frame, no bracketing. Yes, the tracks are active so I had to be alert. Felt silly shooting this in a tie, but I have to do what I have to do.
Battleground State Park, Fall 2009.
This was full frame (DX), but just over the fence there was a car that I didn't feel fit with the rest of the shot. So I cut it off and went with square format.
I wasn't sure that it would still be a good picture with the focus now just along the left side, but I still think the colors are good.
Sorry folks---everyone has to be getting tired of seeing fall leaves as my posts. Just here at home--sick with an upper respiratory infection, bored and editing some pictures from the past couple of weeks.
