I'm really loving the quality of this lens. Hoping to go back in a few weeks and see some additional color.
Just off the South Downs way above Amberley overlooking the landscape towards Parham Park and Pulborough.
My first attempt with my new macro light. I like my new light, though it will require quite a bit more study!
Macro lights come in different styles. Mine is a ring which fits around the lens. With macro photography, it is good to have the light coming from the front on the object, rather than from above, which it would with the usual camera flash.
This is my Christmas cactus, oddly blooming again.

BNSF 9247 and 9252 lead a 180+ car Hibtac tac. load out of Kelly Lake, MN on the beautiful morning of Sept, 20, 2003. Should have spent more time along the Casco Sub. before they DPed all the ore trains and they turned all orange.
This is just one fallen tree of the many toppled trees and broken power lines that resulted from Tropical Storm Isaias. The trees on this stretch of Utopia Parkway were boxed in with protective wood barriers before the storm, to protect them from accidental damage during a water main replacement program. It was so strange to see tree after tree on this street broken or uprooted, still wearing their protective wooden frames. And these were very tall, very old trees. One photo a day.
