Very few opportunities this fall to capture ice because of early snow before the very cold weather.

This 147-year-old mansion in Spencer Mountain, N.C., is owned by Pharr Yarns, a local textile company. It is boarded up tightly and has many intimidating tresspassing signs saying they have given local police the authority to arrest you on the spot if caught on the property. In the late 1990s, local firefighters charged for haunted tours during the month of October. But now it is just left to rot and I wouldn't be surprised if this company eventually tears it down. They just tore down a beautiful old mill in the neighboring town of Belmont.

50 mm project: Vertical landscape. This is my little waterfall in my garden. I was hoping to catch the detail in the rocks, but at the same time, slowing down the water to get that misty effect.

Cuivre River State Park

Well this has been a wonderful week, 26-27 degrees of Sun in Manchester and we have autumn colours too!

You can't knock this barmy weather :)

This is all done but the hem. It's made mostly from cord jeans. One of the patches has a pocket. I really like the way it turned out.

This photo was taken during the same group photo session as the 2 space invaders photos I posted a week ago.

This one looks like an infinity sign. It was done in light painting by Julian.

Benoit took this photo with his Pentax DSLR camera.

The setting is an abandoned glass house in Antibes where we stayed a couple of hours taking photos.

The colors at Sundance continue to amaze me. Taken just over the weekend, the colors have gotten deeper, and more beautiful since a few days ago. What a time to get up and see the beauty!

Maple gives such nice foliage.

Bit of a damp day with 'not quite' rain falling in Borrowdale

A little experiment with lighting and water :)

This is not photoshop, it was shot using my strobe, glass, water, and a lot of patience trying to angle the camera.

Shot at f/22 @ 1/250 w/100mm macro lens and synced with an off-camera strobe.
