I got lost! I was out shooting and made turn after turn, not paying attention where I was and got lost with no Cell signal...I had a blast! This was one of the images I capture along the way. It was pouring down rain all day, just another kind of day I love. The haze in the background is rain coming down.
Zoom in for the details
Near Covington Virginia this is probably the tallest waterfall in the state of Virginia at 80 feet. There is a fence preventing access to the bottom of the falls (although some people trespass and get past the fence to clamber down). I was hoping for more ice/ snow for this shot, but you take what you can get at the time I think. :) Have a fine day everyone. Anita and I are doing a left or right out of the driveway sort of drive today. :)
Both orange and red with this one. Didn't do much to this, darken the sky just a little. One of the last ones in vivid color.
This was a proper nightmare to reach but ultimately worth it.
Falling Foss is a gem of a place within the North Yorkshire Moors National Park with a good sized waterfall plus a number of smaller falls and a large population of trees. Roll on Autumn!
I've converted it to B & W but to be honest I could hardly tell the difference between this and the original colour version.
It can also be viewed on my site with a white background damientaylor.photoshelter.com/gallery-image/Monochrome/G0...
This fall leaves have been really pretty. Coming on strong though which means it will be gone in just a few short weeks if not sooner. I grabbed this shot outside on the creek at my cabin. One hour later the rain started and has been going for 24hours. Half these leaves are gone now.
I can't resist some lovely colors, even on a foggy day in Seattle. The water everywhere is fog dripping off the trees

A very colorful burning bush. Straight out of the camera.
Hope you all have a fantastic Wednesday! ☼
Today is the first day of fall, can you believe! It seems that autumn always arrives too soon and doesn't stick around long enough. I wouldn't be surprised if the leaves have already fallen from this tree which I photographed a few days ago.
Thanks a million for stopping by and for leaving me a comment! Have a great day and weekend!
Autumn color offers a perfect compliment to some of the most insanely beautiful waters in the Columbia River Gorge.
My wife and I were walking our dog when she asked me to take a photo. Normally I drive her crazy by taking too many photos so I was surprised when she made the request. She liked the colors of the leaves and thought it might be a perfect photo for the calendar I make for her every year. There are several photos where the composition is better and the leash isn't wrapped around his rear leg but this one had the falling leaf in the back and he had a great pose so its my favorite.
I edited the photo in Adobe Lightroom Classic CC.

Rain drops on a falling Gladiolus.
This Gladiolus flower was falling over right by the edge of my house with a ugly background. But no worries, it was time to play and experiment with an idea inspired by Kathleen Clemons. I created this "painting" as in-camera multiple exposure. The background is a hand painted watercolor wash that my mom created for me. It was my first use of mom's background but I think it worked out well and I'm going to have her paint me more in all kinds of colors.
Thanks for viewing.
I had one goal this Fall: capture an image of the changing of leaves. Here in North Dakota we have the potential for a beautiful Fall. The few trees we do have, especially those that line the river, change into all the vibrant colors of orange, yellow, and red that one could hope for. And... then they all get blown away within a week of changing give or take a few days. This particular lone tree was barren and the surrounding grass was dead and brown. Glad I caught it when I did. Let me know what you think and thanks for taking a gander!
Its been such a beautiful fall season in the Ottawa area. Its not just that we get to work with dogs here at Keshet; here are some of the scenes that make it pretty easy to come to work ;)
From my walk around my neighborhood!! Hope everyone will have/had a wonderful Saturday and week-end!!
Thanks for stopping by and commenting!!
On one of my trips out doing errands last week, I stopped for these bits of birches peeking out from other fall colours...motion blur in camera and some artisitc license as well :)
I'm attempting to do a few sets of relatively simple fall cookies that I can put on my website. My Halloween ones got so out of control, I never could've sold them for less than $10 per cookie! So these ones were quick, and I think they're cute. Not masterpieces, but cute. :)
And the caramel apple...I don't know who to give credit to. Cookieartisan and Suga' both did really awesome ones (of course!!!!), and I also used clipart that I found online.
Firmamento - Elena

Thanks to all for viewing my work. Posting on Flickr is my inspiration to keep on creating new shots. I hope you enjoy.
Certainly not a masterpiece, but something I never get here in Florida..... colorful leaves!
I was in Kansas City on a business trip yesterday, and spotted this on the street. I really miss the colors of autumn. Growing up in Boston, we always had glorious fall colors everywhere. Florida stays green.... which I have to admit, I love when it's January!
Took this with the little Canon "point-and-shoot" that stays in my briefcase, for those moments that would slip away when I'm traveling without my Nikon DSLR.
I love the Canon "A" series, because it takes regular AA batteries, a "must" when it sits in my bag for months. Can you believe this was taken at 1/20 sec, handheld, with no flash right around sunset? The image stabilization in this little $129 camera is amazing for the price!
The walk around Reflections Lake in the Palmer Hay Flats can be a great experience, especially when the weather and seasons come together. Here the trees are a bit past peak but still have a fair amount of color on them. Beyond the trees are the Talkeetna Mountains with a fresh snow covering as well as some mountain high clouds covering them. The lake is smooth but not mirror like, but still provides a nice reflections of the trees in the water. We saw a loon on the lake but it stayed more towards the middle and didn't give me any photo opportunities.
