Ozone Falls, near Crab Orchard, Tennessee.
With several days of chilly weather and a few inches of snowfall I visited a place I've known for a long time, this time in early January seeing it again with a different perspective of a nighttime long exposure.
Even shooting full frame 14mm it was all I could do to squeeze the entirety of the 105' falls into view.
The landscape was illuminated in the distance by the rising moon and an LED panel mounted on a boom as I hiked up to the top of the bluff on the right side of the image, and then again by extending the boom out over the top of the falls.
320 exposure stack over 138 minutes.
Venus is the brightest trail to the far left.

Back in September of 2011 ex-Soo road power could still be sometimes found roaming the CP system but catching matched sets of SD60's was pretty cool even then. I completely lucked into this pair of candy apple red ones leading CP 265 westbound through Kent Bridge, Ontario on the first day of a very memorable long weekend spent "up north". She was at Kohl's too. I thought about getting her, but she's definitely not worth $15.99 :P I love her hair color, but I'm not a big fan of her outfit :S
I find Fall to be the best time of year for house finches. Although their color isn't as vivid as mating season, the surroundings are so colorful this time of year, and those red berries that they enjoy so mesh with their colors!
Impromptu shot taken while I was at the park having lunch. The winds picked up and leaves began falling in the distance. I happened to have my 70-200 loaded and was able to capture the pictured branch with a "bokeh" of leaves painting the background.
A beautiful morning hike at my favorite wetlands. As Fall begins its takeover, I love the subtle color changes in the foliage, as well as the reduction in humidity.

Long exposure with no ND filter at lat dark time of the days before sunset....@ lake ontario bluffers park scarborough toronto ontario...... it was the first cold day......
my las memories from last days of life....
Funny how it looks like late Autumn with the vivid colorations mixed with still barren trees. Parts of the Housatonic are still crossable. These little islands and rock formations create raging channels of water much deeper.
This is another of several SecondLife photographs I took within the amazingly beautiful "Alirium" Sim slurl.com/secondlife/alirium/204/119/22 in SecondLife. This is a place I strongly recommend my fellow SL'er must visit and explore as the entire sim is like walking through an artist's painting of seasons. An SL Photographer's paradise.
In this PhotoManip I also experimented with inserting a Lake that extended out front from the original photo's almost non-existent and poor "SL waters". More importantly, I wanted to experiment with inserting a reflection in this created lake water that looked artisitcally realistic and extended the stunning intense fall colors from this photo.
