Acrylic on canvas

This was painted during a workshop with Marianne Broome. I am gradually getting the hang of acrylics and at times quite enjoy their properties. Still a long way to go, however, but I really enjoyed the workshop.

When I showed this image to my dad, he said "how high were when you took this?"

"About a foot or two" I said.

"No! how high were you flying."

"Flying!! it's a beach not a river."

Then looking at my ipad he asked "where are the pictures of the birds." I just show him FHM 100 sexiest women 2012, he was happy!!

For Take Aim: A Challenge Group

This morning, the sun was shining but the mist from the Saint John River had not completely evaporated. It moved so quick, I missed it and

was left with only the sun filtering through the trees.

On my way to the Brooklyn Botanical Gardens Sunday, I stopped in the little park crossed the street...

Since we all know my passion for benches (among other things) I just couldn't resist. loll People were walking by looking at the crazy woman on the ground shooting into the benches! At least no police showed up!

Be well all....

My favorite time of year, pictures taken in the local country park Tandle Hill

Early fall in Nijmegen, the Netherlands.

A bit of fall splendor from my recent walk in Whipple Hill. I was pleasantly surprised by the occasional vibrant colors.

Best viewed in large,

Happy Wednesday all!

I love this one because she is so different. You never see Cinderella in yellow.

one of my favorite things about the new house i'm staying in is that this whole woodsy area is right across the street. for the school year in maine my house is sort of apart from the rest of town and there's tons of trees and little paths. actually so convenient though, especially when i get wicked hungry or something in the middle of taking photos.

Malayan Tiger ...

Panthera tigris jacksoni

The Malayan tiger wears the characteristic striping pattern of black stripes on orange and white that provides excellent camouflage in the forest. Using its quiet stalking ability, a tiger will ambush large prey, often pouncing on it from the rear. Other than females with their young, tigers are solitary and come together only to mate. Each tiger defends its own territory from others of the same gender. Territories must be large to provide enough prey for a tiger to eat. A tiger may travel up to 20 miles a night in search of prey. As more and more forests disappear, tigers struggle to maintain a territory with sufficient prey.

This is an older photo that I took when it snowed at my zoo. Since I haven't been able to go to the zoo because of bad weather I decided to post some more snowy pictures that never got posted.

We still have snow on the ground . The temp was -5 degrees this morning. We are suppose to get a mix of rain & snow starting Sunday. I'm ready for Old Man Winter to be over.

Have a nice night everyone!

It's late this year, but the colors are finally in progress!
