Last sunday me and my friend Angelo went to explorate this river about 1 hr from our home, the flow of the river was really great since the warm temperature and the melted snow, not the best conditions to capture the falls in the main river

I have also two pretty good shot of the river, this one is an affluent fall of the river, the only moment of the day where the sun came out from clouds

Not much opportunity to get out and see the hills this year, so, I am doing a little time travel.

Nothing is in focus and I think it still works. I was trying to catch the leaves with limited depth of field to make it arty beautiful. :D I think I did, but at the time I was miffed that I didn't get the falling leaves crisp. I was looking for something else today and found this pic, and now I look at it, I think they don't need to be crisp. Only a bit of clarity adjustment made, nothing else. What do you think?

I have almost forgotten that trip top Wabamun Lake one October morning.. We were supposed to have been shooting sunrise, but the sky was clear and really not very interesting, so instead, I found a lot of other things to look at that morning (so smart of me to bring my macro lens along! ;D). It is still cold and not very pleasant around here (current windchill -19oC) so why not concentrate on fall's magic for a bit?! I hope you enjoy!

i went home this weekend for a wedding, so i was able to take some photos :)

ahhh, fall <3

I was amazed by the deep bright green color of the grass in Vermont during the fall season. Vermont is a beautiful state.

This was a random group of leaves that I saw while hiking out to Snow Lake during late fall last year (2023). The water was moving pretty fast so I needed to keep a shutter speed fairly high. This might have been the first trip out with my new camera as well, so it was a learning experience for me. Sadly, this photo has motion blur, and is a little out of focus because the small waves in the water and the fact that the water was not perfectly perpendicular to my lens orientation. That said, I still really like the photo! I hope you all can enjoy it as well.

This sunflower was growing at a local pumpkin patch in Spanish Fork called Cornbelly's. It was in a field with other sunflowers and was meant to be photographed.

this is Falling Water Falls in early morning light. Falling Water Falls is located near Ben Hur, Arkansas. Shot was taken in October.

We had less than a week of nice fall color, and I was sick for it. I went out yesterday to take a recovery walk and was....disappointed. 😭

Some of our favorite photos from a recent Maternity photo-session with Laura & Jordy, in Prince George BC. It was a beautiful fall morning - the colors and the fog were perfect. Such a great day!

I'll be leading photographers to various locations to capture Horsetail Fall and winter shots in Yosemite Valley again in 2020.

If you want to pursue it on your own, this location is described on page 21 of my 320-page guidebook Photographing California Vol. 2 - South.

Note the parking and viewing restrictions in effect for 2020:

Viewing Horsetail Fall in Late February

"Due to the popularity of the event, restrictions will be in effect from February 14 through 27, 2020 daily from noon to 7 pm. To view Horsetail Fall, park at Yosemite Falls parking (just west of Yosemite Valley Lodge) and walk 1.5 miles (each way) to the viewing area near El Capitan Picnic Area."

www.nps.gov/yose/planyourvisit/horsetailfall.htm

Why?

"February 22, 2019, over 2,000 visitors viewing Horsetail Fall... spilled onto riverbanks, increasing erosion and trampling vegetation... undeveloped areas became littered with trash..."

Although similar, this is different photo from the one previously posted. I treated this photo with Snapseed, I hope you like it.

If you click on the map in hybrid the shed appears as a tiny white spot.

"Fall, leaves, fall; die, flowers, away;

Lengthen night and shorten day;

Every leaf speaks bliss to me

Fluttering from the autumn tree.

I shall smile when wreaths of snow

Blossom where the rose should grow;

I shall sing when night’s decay

Ushers in a drearier day."

It was a dull snow showery day but these leaves still looked pretty in the available light.

This may be the last of the fall color photos. The canopy is bare.

An eastbound Canadian Pacific train passes fall foliage in downtown Genoa, IL, on 10-11-14.

This has been a bizarre year for weather in Arkansas. We have had record-breaking amounts of rain. One of the local weatherguys said last week that Little Rock has received huge amounts of rain this year. In fact, we have already gotten ten inches more rain than what the yearly rainfall average is. It's been a wet year.

All that has been good for waterfalls. And the past few weeks have seen several rainy days, which has contributed to a rare event where we are able to see both fall color and waterfalls. I was able to take off a day from work two weeks ago, with the hopes that I would be able to get out and get some good fall color and waterfall pictures. Of course, the same weatherguy was predicting it to be sunny on that day. Sunny weather is the enemy of waterfall pictures.

My original plan was to drive up to Falling Water Creek, an amazing little area near Pelsor, in the Ozark National Forest. I thought that if it was too sunny for waterfall pictures, I would instead head over and hike the area around Pedestal Rocks and Kings Bluff.

It was bright and sunny as I left Little Rock, but clouds began to move in as I drove further west. Would it actually be cloudy when I needed it to be cloudy? Lo and behold, yes it was! Clouds managed to head in and block the sun, allowing for some decent waterfall photography.

This is a view of Falling Water Falls. At 10-feet tall, it isn't very tall but an interesting waterfall to visit.

Hello my amazing Flickr friends !

Today we have another autumn inspired picture. It is very melancholic just like my autumnal mood. Luckily for us, there is this tiny red leaf to bring us hope and some color. Should I edit this picture and make it more joyful ? I will sure think about it and who knows, maybe a happy version of this one will follow.

Have a beautiful day ! Mucho, mucho amor for you all !!

Thank you so much for all your lovely comments / favs/ general support / happy thoughts!! Stay safe and well!!

This is my favorite shot I've taken during fall. It doesn't look it, but I had to get my camera really close to the water. A few water drops kept appearing on the lens.

When out on a photography drive last Friday (11.11.11) and found this road that dead ended with all the trees hanging out over the road...I thought it was a beautiful fall scene.

Image is an HDR created from three photos bracketed at two stops over and under exposed.

For those of you who miss my flower shots...

Fall is gently falling, finally...

first day of fall 2010 summer went fast!!!!

I think I'm right in saying that this is Fireweed, displaying its wonderfull fall colours.

My rough plans for 29 September 2018 changed when I saw the weather forecast. I ended up visiting the Reader Rock Garden instead of driving to a different garden. As usual when I go there, it was a bit windy, which always makes photographing flowers, especially ones on long stems, more difficult. It was also overcast and I was hoping that it wouldn't rain. Instead, I found myself standing at the highest point of the garden, with very light snow falling for just a few minutes.

There were still quite a few flowers in bloom, though many were already past their prime. I'm pretty sure these glorious leaves belong to Fireweed. Usually, I see Fireweed growing in the wild, but Reader Rock Garden does have some native plants, too.

So I've driven past this old shed every day for the past 5 years or so. I've wanted to stop and take some pictures of it, but I just never bother to stop the car (since I'm usually on my way to work). Today I finally stopped and took a couple shots since our fall only lasts a couple weeks, I wanted to be sure I got the great fall colours.

This is a 3-shot HDR (handheld, +2, 0, -2) merged in PS:CC and tweaked in ACR. Pretty happy with how it turned out since I only took maybe a dozen shots. Glad I finally stopped to take in the scene!

Shot with Nikon d7100 + 17-55mm f/2.8
