D7000 with Tokina 11-16

One of my favorite spots, not far from my house. It's actually a horse farm with this huge pond. It was for sale for awhile. Just couldn't cough up the million plus it was.

So I guess it's fall now! Only a small number of leaves are changing and falling so far, so I gathered a few of the best ones from two nearby trees together for this shot. People are going to ask if I intensified the colors and the answer is yes- I did adjust them in Lightroom Mobile. Do people want to see the unadjusted raw for comparison?

The temperature is falling and the leaves are changing...

Walking through the garden my eye caught layers of colour around these hardy mums.

Every fall we get a great crop of mushrooms growing in our lawn. I am getting so I look forward to their visits. Ektar 100

Finally got this in the post to my swap partner Monday 18 Jan 2010 - I hope she likes it!

Finally got some shots of the leaves changing color in Japan.

5xp freehand HDR rendered photo taken in the cemetery where my wife's ancestors are all buried (apparently going back 10+ generations).

Tokyo, Japan.

Leaves frozen in some early river ice.

The first frost is always magical.

Its almost Fall and one of the best time to take a walk in the woods. Shot this one, last year as the early morning sun was cutting through the distant haze.

Taken in my new community here in Northern California. We moved here in December 2019 after that fall season had ended so it wasn’t until 2020 that I got to experience the fall in its magnificent glory.

Taken on a drive out of Yellowknife, Northwest Territory on the Ingraham Trail. Fall colors were pretty much at their peak in this area.

Thank you for your visit and comments. They are very much appreciated.

A bit out of the current season, taken last fall 2016, I like the dark evergreen facing across from the bench while the flair of color stands behind.

紅葉黃花秋意晚,千裏念行客。飛雲過盡,歸鴻無信,何處寄書得?

The fall is here soon. Panoramic view from Sunndal, Norway.

A variation on my favourite Fall scene, this time with the rusty rails of the steps leading to the little dock at the bottom.

I was pinning a collection of photos up on my cubicle walls today and it rather inspired me to create this collage. Not overly creative perhaps but I still really like the way they look together.

This picture shows the beautiful fall colors of trees planted beside a private drive in Sequim, Washington.

Sequim, pronounced skwɪm is located on the north end of the Olympic Peninsula of Washington state and is located on the Straits of Juan de Fuca, a large body of water that connects Puget Sound with the Pacific Ocean and separates the Olympic Peninsula from Vancouver Island, British Columbia. Known for it's unique climate due to being the rain shadow of the Olympic Mountains, it is often referred to as being in the Banana Belt getting an average of 16 inches of rain per year. In contrast, Port Angeles, 18 miles away gets over 25 inches of rain and the Hoh Rainforest on the west side of the Olympic Mountains, 100 miles away gets 140-170 inches of rain per year.

Slight hint that fall is coming.

The red leaf was actually falling from the tree as I took this photo - not created in photoshop. If you look closely you will see that there is a second leaf falling just behind it.

Weekly Photo Assignment.

the light we have in the netherlands during late fall and winter is absolutely amazing. already at 4 o'clock you have beautiful light.

right from the lady there's a field, that's why that part of the path is so illuminated compared to the foreground. i saw this light and waited for someone to walk into my photograph.

have a great (rest of the) weekend

October burning sky colors. It was one of the lucky snapshot I took at Presidio San Francisco. The colors were bit intensive this time during the sunrise time. You may see it when the condition it right in here.

Fall is also harvest time for tree nuts such as walnuts, my favorite.

This is the same rose from a collage I did earlier. There's another one blooming outside that might be better. Probably the last one from this bush this year...sniffs sadly...

Sedum 'Autumn Fire' (Stonecrop) spends most of the summer as green leaves, but in late summer and fall, a profusion of showy flower heads turn into deep rosy pink flowers. They attract lots of bees. The blue flower is an Agapanthus that is blooming far beyond our other ones. The background is a very healthy fuchsia bush with many blooms that are used frequently by humming birds.
