this wasn't my original plan i had for today, but this turned out okay.
One of the few remaining spots where freshly fallen leaves carpet the ground. My Argus Super 75 decided to recline and take in the final fireworks...
Early morning and the fog is falling down from the top, somewhere along the Norwegian coast. Press L for Lightbox.
The weather has been so beautiful these last couple of days! I went home yesterday for the night and took some pictures. All of our leaves are changing color and it is so pretty!
Sorry I haven't been on much lately. I've been really busy with school. I also took a Little for my sorority and last week was big/little week. It was a lot of fun. :)
The 29th is the last day of my 365 project. I did take a photo every single day though I didn't post them all here. I learned a lot from the project. Mostly that I never want to feel rushed or pressured to create my work. I also never want to put something out that I'm not proud of. Photography is my passion, but I also have other commitments in my life most importantly college. Maybe sometime in the future is I get a spare year I'll try this project again. But for now I'm happy just creating.
Thank you to everyone who has ever viewed a photo of mine. Your support means so much to me. I love this community and you all are my constant inspiration.
Have a great week!
Much love,
Caitlyn.

FALLING is the topic for Thursday 6th September 2018, group our daily challenge
My first attempt and leaves. GLad these were samples for fun... I want to make a few changes before an actual order. The leaves are iced with Orange flavored RI.
This photo was taken from Burnaby Mountain in Burnaby near Vancouver, Canada on a lovely fall morning. You can see a view of the Burrard Inlet in the foreground, followed by Belcarra and Indian Arm (an 18km/11mi long fjord). Since it's such an expansive view I decided to crop it to a panorama.
About this photo: We've been having some terrible wet weather this November and I haven't had the chance to go out and take any new photos yet. So, this is one from the end of October when we were enjoying some beautiful sunny weather and beautiful fall colours. So, I drove up to Burnaby Mountain (about 10 minutes driving from my place) in hope to find some beautiful colours and to enjoy the great views. I really liked this view, although some trees are a bit in the way...but that's mother nature and that's something I can't ommit. Enjoy!

Some information on Burnaby Mountain: Burnaby is a city which belongs to the Greater Vancouver area and is about 10-15 minutes from downtown Vancouver. Burnaby Mountain is one of the beautiful places to visit in Burnaby and is located near the Simon Fraser University. The views over the mountains, the Burrard Inlet, downtown Vancouver and Indian arm from up here make it such a great place. This is a fairly popular destination popular visitors and locals alike. The green hillside offers room to throw a frisbee or send a kite soaring. There is a network of trails which offer a variety of hiking, walking and jogging options. There is also a playground tucked away in the upper hillside.
The Centennial Pavilion area features the Rose Garden, with its vibrant colours in season and a great variety of roses. Nearby is the acclaimed Horizons restaurant and two majestic totem poles, a reminder of the community's proud native heritage. Towering over the distant city are the tall Kamui Mintara (Playground of the Gods) sculptures. The Kamui Mintara is more than a dozen carved poles created by Japanese sculptors Nuburi Toko and his son, Shusei. These impressive sculptures commemorate the goodwill between Burnaby and its sister city, Kushiro, Japan.
Burnaby Mountain is a great place to enjoy in any season as there are always the beautiful views over the city, the mountains, the Burrard Inlet and Indian Arm (a coastal fjord of about 18km/11.25mi long).

Enchanting Fall colors to brighten a gloomy day.
As the season is drawing to a close there will be winter snow ahead. Blessed to live in a area that brings four seasons to the valley.
Thank you all for your warm visits, comments, faves and invites.

The leaves have been steadily falling. Quincy loved jumping, running through and hiding sticks in the large pile.

I came across this pond a couple of months ago but now it seemed like the right time to shoot it. Actually I had planed for another view and background but trying to get there, I almost slipped when stepping on the stumps. So I decided to make them foreground in this photo.
