Actually, there are no shepherd's any where near where this shot was taken - unless you count the Shepherd Neame beer at the nearby pub. The picture was taken at Cardinal Place on London's Victoria Street and is an abstracted view - looking directly upwards to the sky - of part of the building. I don't know what you call this bit of the structure but, dare I say it, it's like a vent... :)
This shot was also taken there; it's where a security guard stopped me from taking pictures because I might have been a terrorist...

When these cars went into production in 1934, they were technically very advanced for the time with a monocoque body shell, front wheel drive, independent front suspension, hydraulic breaks and from 1936 rack and pinion steering. The styling of the body was the work of Italian artist and sculpture Flaminio Bertoni.
They were much lower, sleeker and had far better cornering and handling capabilities than most other cars of the period. For this reason they were used by both the Germans and the Freach Resistance during WW II and by criminals and the police, including the fictional French detective Maigret.
Citroen also produced cars in Slough, Berkshire. Local assembly and a high degree of British components allowed the cars to avoid heavy import duty that was imposed to protect British car manufacturers. It also meant they could be importer to British colonies where a system of 'imperial preference' favoured British sourced cars.
The Slough built Tractions differed from the French and Belgian versions, not only because they were mainly right hand drive but also that they had leather seats rather than cloth and wooden dashboards instead of metal.
This car is a small boot version 'Light Fifteen' model with a 1911 cc four cylinder engine. Later models had a larger boot grafted on. The 'Light' is to differentiate it from the 'Big Fifteen' long wheel version. The 'Fifteen' refers to the fiscal horsepower, not the break horsepower, used by the government to apply car tax.
Production of the Traction at Slough finished on September 1955.

She's been pushing me for a while to break out of the box but square format images have become my comfort zone. A nice, plump, very comfy comfort zone. But here today - just for you, Losy - is a letterbox shot. And, do you know what? Now that I've posted it, I feel liberated. Well, sort of... :)

Taken from the fence beside the footbridge from C'an Pastilla, Palma's GA ramp allows for some photo opportunities, classic 1978-built Cessna Citation 1/SP OE-FJB makes a change from more modern types.

Der diesjährige Fahrplanwechsel hat ein Eisenbahnerdbeben im Osten Österreichs mit Schwerpunkt auf die Franz-Josefs-Bahn verursacht. In den späten 1990er Jahren ist die letzte Verbindung Wien - Praha über Gmünd, der D "Smetana", abgeschafft worden, im Jahr 2009 der ER "Hopfen & Malz" nach Plžeň und der ER "Silva Nortica" nach České Budějovice. Damit waren die einzigen Verbindungen nach Tschechien nur die REX-Züge nach České Velenice gewesen - bis zum 11. Dezember 2022. An diesem Tag hat die erste Fahrt des REX/R (R entspricht in Tschechien einem langsameren Schnellzug; Rychlík) "Silva Nortica" stattgefunden. Seither verkehrt täglich ein Zugpaar Wien <-> Praha mit einem Verstärkerzugpaar an Wochenenden. Diesen Verstärker, REX 321, habe ich am 25. Dezember 2022 mit 1116 269 und Wagen der Tschechischen Bahnen (ČD) auf Höhe der einstigen Haltestelle Neuaigen-Stetteldorf aufnehmen können.

Wowweeeee what a banger!!!! I wonder if the owner knows if it's literally the only one of it's type left on the roads in the UK? Probably the roughest looking car I've ever seen on the UK's roads (this picture makes it look a lot better than it really is!).
These are seriously hard to come across now, these third generation Ford Granadas. This is a Ford Granada L diesel, and it's amazing how it's the only one on the roads anywhere in the UK! (according to HML) Seriously lucky find, and only about 5 miles from where I live too!!!!
This car is not going to last long at all, by the looks of things. If this car gets scrapped (looks possible) then the Ford Granada L diesel will become extinct on Britain's roads.

Not sure about wheel trims, but it adds to the beaten up appearance!

It's funny how a car like this is infinitely more rare than practically everything out there on the roads, but it's pretty much forgotten! More common are Mk1 Sierras which I am yet to spot...

Just enough daylight remained to allow a quick trip round Gold Star's yard, and one of the few that were out on show was another former Merseyside PTE Atlantean, XKC 792J. This arrived in 1983, and went on to run until operations ended in 1996, by which time it had morphed into OEY 348J, by way of 984 FJB. I think it retained this bright colour scheme right to the end, which was extolling the many attractions which Rhyl had to offer - note that I wrote "had" ....
