PH-MCU was delivered to Martinair in September 1996, and was one of totally seven of the type operated. Between 2003 and 2007, the aircraft was painted in a special 'Red Roses' livery.
As such it was captured accelerating on the Polderbaan (36L) while departing on another freight service, named 'Prinses Máxima', after then Princess Máxima who became Queen of the Netherlands in 2013.
After 20 years of flawless service, PH-MCU was retired in 2016 and parked at Victorville. Shortly after it was acquired by Federal Express, but never entered service. It was and still is used as a spares source at Victorville.

National Express West Midlands' BV57 XHS (4729) is seen parked on Albert Street, Birmingham City Centre, while waiting for a Birmingham Central (BC) driver on the 45/47 to move off or the 5 to move, as the 45/47 had parked too high on stand, meaning he couldn't wait time safely without blocking the road. The driver, who is smiling ran around to Albert Street from Carrs Lane and waited until a few minutes before he was due off before he ran back around to Carrs Lane, at which point the other buses had moved. He was then due to take a 3 out to Yardley Wood Slade Lane. To me the driver seems very good with the passengers and I've never had an issue with him when taking a photo of a bus. He's a credit to the National Express Group. BV57XHS was new in December 2007 to Perry Barr depot in "Toothpaste" livery and has since been transferred to Yardley Wood depot, where it carries the red/white livery. It is yet to be upgraded to Crimson Standard.
This colour-coded topographic image shows Trouvelot Crater and its surroundings on Mars.
It was created from data collected by ESA’s Mars Express on 12 October 2024 (orbit 26233) and is based on a digital terrain model of the region, from which the topography of the landscape can be derived. Lower parts of the surface are shown in blues and purples, while higher altitude regions show up in whites and reds, as indicated on the scale to the top right.
North is to the right. The ground resolution of the original image is approximately 18 m/pixel and the image is centred at about 15°N/255°E.
[Image description: A top‑down view of a colourful Martian terrain map. The surface is shaded in bright colours that represent elevation: high areas appear in pinks and reds, while lower regions fade into greens, then deep blues. Several circular impact craters are visible throughout, with their rims highlighted by the changing colours. The overall effect is a vibrant, textured landscape showing the height differences across the area.]

With only two more days worth of trips left in the season, the Blackstone Valley Tourism Council's Polar Express finally gets some appropriate weather. Unfortunately, the snow stopped after the first run of the day and turned into freezing rain. But, none the less still festive enough for the kids and their trip to the "North Pole".
