Have you catch it? I was resisting the temptation to join the train this season, no pun intended :) Work hours and feeling a bit lazy lately didn’t help either. After spending 4h in the cold last night I was happy I didn’t come back home empty handed but I kept thinking why do I do this to myself! Final frame is the blend of the few different exposures for dynamic range and clean noise free image. What do you think?

Forse uno dei servizi più belli e interessanti d'Europa. Così si può riassumere il Tenda Express, ovvero un treno d'agenzia che ogni anno (ad eccezione del 204 e 2015) parte da Zurigo, raggiunge la riviera Ligure di Ponente e torna in Svizzera passando per la linea del Tenda. Un'occasione ghiotta per noi appassionati che, sfruttando un agiornata meteorologicamente perfett, abbiamo "rincorso" il treno per tutta la vallata!

Due to the increased number of passengers towards/from the Black sea coast, in the summer season BDZ adds more carriages to express train 8601/8602, especially during the weekends.
In the past years the train was hauled by the red Skoda's or the blue and yellow class 46 200, but since the arriving of the Smartrons, the train is served only by them. On the photo - the latest arrived Smartron locomotive - 80 051, named to the rullers Tsar Asen and Tsar Petar IV is pulling the 10-car train towards between Stamboliyski and Ognyanovo stations.
With the Howgills as a backdrop TPE 397009 has just passed the loops at Grayrigg with the 10.12 Edinburgh - Manchester Airport.
* Another Class I do not upload often but very much part of the contemporary railway scene are the TPE 397 EMU's, especially over the Northern fells.

La E656.030 aveva trainato il treno da Torino Porta Nuova a Domodossola, dando il cambio alla D445.1108 a Torino Porta Nuova.

One of the famous trains of BDZ - 8602 "Slanchev bryag" (Sunny beach) has just arrived in Sofia with one of the new Smartron locomotives of BDZ-PP - 80 040, named Khan Presiyan. From several weeks the train is consisted by renovated saloon cars, painted in a nice blue livery, which pretty much suits to the Smartron livery.

Bernina Express in the Swiss Alps.
Crossing the Alps in the Bernina Express certainly is one of the most spectacular ways to do it. Along the way, the Bernina Express rolls over the 65-metre-high Landwasser Viaduct, the signature structure of the Rhaetian Railway and the UNESCO World Heritage site.
Altogether the train passes through 55 tunnels and over 196 bridges on its way from Chur to Tirano. Travellers are treated to marvellous sights during their journey, like the Montebello curve with a view of the Bernina massif, the Morteratsch glacier, the three lakes Lej Pitschen, Lej Nair and Lago Bianco, the Alp Grüm and the Brusio Circular Viaduct.

Having Photographed the train at Didcot I chased it to Hanborough just north of Oxford. SR West Country Class 34046 'Braunton' is seen passing the station en route to Worcester with Saphos Trains Cotswold Express excursion. 12-09-20

Both of these locomotives were introduced into SAR service to work express passenger trains on the Cape mainline. Once they were replaced by larger designs in 1939 Bloemfontein became their home for the remainder of their service lives till being withdrawn in 1972/1973.
They are 16DA no 876 and 16E no 857 at Israelspoort between Thaba Nchu and Sepane heading west towards Bloemfontein on 4 July 1999.

The Impf-Express ("Vaccination Express") circulating as a regular Strassenbahn line in front of the Südbahnhof while I was waiting for my bus to the office. I loved the driver's smile, too bad the windshield's glare hides it.
The idea of the Impf Express is that you can hop in, get your corona shot and get of a couple of stations later. I find the idea of wanting to get an injection in a moving vehicle rattling along the tracks kind of odd. Maybe their doctors are that good. Or they just wait for the stops.
