A trip with the Brohltalbahn is more than just a train ride. It is pure everyday deceleration, a real technology and nature experience. It allows you to experience the Laacher See volcanic region with its unique volcanic landscape up close and gives you a feeling for the "effort" it takes for the locomotives to overcome around 400 meters in altitude between the Rhine and the Eifel.
The Humboldt-Type M.105 steam locomotive is a four-axle meter-gauge Mallet locomotive that was built by the Humboldt Mechanical Engineering Company in Cologne Brohltal-Eisenbahn-Gesellschaft (BEG) in 1906.

El hombre se quedó perplejo, sin saber qué hacer ni a dónde ir. ¿Aquello era arte? - se preguntó. No sabía que aquel arte era muy particular y el pintor lo que pretendía era justo lo que él estaba sintiendo.
“Express” Roberto Rauschenberg (1963) Oleo, serigrafía y collage sobre lienzo. Sirvió de enlace entre la generación de pintores expresionistas abstractos veteranos y los jóvenes artistas pop. Su encuentro en 1960 con Marcel Duchamp hace que incorpore los métodos dadaístas en su obra. El Dadaísmo surgió en Zurich (Suiza) en 1916. Se extendió por Europa y llegó a EE.UU.. Estaban en contra del arte, los códigos y valores de su época, la Primera Guerra Mundial y los sistemas establecidos. Su fundador fue Tristan Tzara. Buscaban dejar perplejo al público, quien les insultaba y lanzaba objetos. Se divulgó en revistas, su manifiesto, y en reuniones en cabarets y galerías de arte. Usaban fragmentos, objetos cotidianos de desecho, collages, fotomontajes, siempre buscando la provocación.

As a pesky cloud prepares to block the sun, BNSF 9171 grinds upgrade toward Palmer Lake, CO with a heavy coal train in tow.
The Jacobite, which can be seen as the Hogwarts Express in the Harry Potter films, has been running in Scotland on the route between Fort William and Mallaig since 1985, when it was still known as "The West Highlander".

Depuis le service annuel 2020, Linéas assure la traction du Green-Express (Sibelin-Anvers) avec ses propres locomotives (jusqu'à Thionville) ainsi qu'avec ses conducteurs.
De plus le train à délaissé la PLM pour passer par la Bresse.
Voici ce train non loin d'Ambérieu-en-Bugey avec une dernière nouveauté dans sa charge, un trafic de containers en plus des habituelles citernes.

I searched for a freeway that would line up with the rising full moon, and I drove to a footbridge that crosses Highway 101 in the Menlo Park, California. There was a lot of traffic for a Saturday night. This is an early shot, some minutes later the moon was above the freeway.
I processed a realistic and a balanced HDR photo from 1 RAW exposure, blended them selectively, and carefully adjusted the color balance and curves. I welcome and appreciate constructive comments.
