TransPennine Express 802218 seen approaching Greenfield on a Newcastle to Liverpool Lime Street service
During 1980 two Bristol LHS midibuses were acquired by Ribble Motor Services as fleet numbers 271/2 (FBV 271/2W). Used ostensibly on rural routes based out of Clitheroe Lancashire, they were marketed as 'Betty's Bus', after one of the regular drivers Betty Gray. However, by the 1990s they had moved on to separate operators but later became near neighbours when operated in Derbyshire respectively by Express Motors of Hulland Ward and Peakbus Chesterfield.
The one registered here FBV271W, illustrated beneath threatening skies at Hognaston Derbyshire during April 2001. With the man-made Carsington Reservoir in the background, owned and operated by Severn Trent Water, the bus was on the route 411 (Matlock & Ashbourne).
Op zaterdag 3 maart kwam de Korkus Express weer terug uit Oostenrijk. Aangezien de trein met dubbeltractie 110 naar Emmerich zou komen, werd er naar het Duitse grensstation gereisd. Het scenario waar van tevoren al een beetje voor gevreesd werd kwam uit en de trein werd veel te ver doorgereden met een seinpaal voor de locomotief.
Nadat de twee oudjes van Centralbahn werden ingewisseld voor de Traxx kon er wel een fatsoenlijke foto gemaakt worden. De gehuurde 186 456 staat met de sleep rijtuigen gereed op station Emmerich voor vertrek richting Nederland.
I am on a Harry Potter tour of Britain with my daughter taking in some of the more famous landmarks.
She is 18 in a few weeks so this could be the last holiday with her before she becomes a young lady.

Wenig später kämpfte sich an der gleichen Stelle die Re 4/4 11141 in noch originaler Swiss-Express-Lackierung mit einem schweren Personenzug die Bözberg-Nordrampe hinauf.
Same location a little later: the Re 4/4 11141 in its original Swiss Express livery struggled up the Bözberg north ramp with a heavy passenger train.

Parked outside the Masonic Lodge on the town street at Beamish Museum is this 2200cc Ford Model-A Tudor Sedan of 1929 vintage, registered WW 9782. The colour is described as two-tone "Arab Sand"!
The ford Model-A was manufactured from 1927 until 1931 and represents Henry Ford's second great marketing success after the hugely popular Model-T range. By the end of production in 1931 almost five million Model-A's had been produced.
