I'm not sure what's worse, the falling score of Grade 6 in the "believe teachers are interested in them" measure or the fact that our local school district can't correctly spell the description of that category. Either way, it's pretty sad.
On the bright side, the survey scores reflect an improving atmosphere in Minnesota public schools.

My name is Ronnie Chatterji and I’m running to be the next State Treasurer of North Carolina.
Educator. Economist. Innovator.
"I believe that together we can chart a course for a brighter future for North Carolina."
"We need a Treasurer who can get down to business, analyze data, and deliver results."
I want to be your next Treasurer to improve the lives of all North Carolinians. We all worry about whether we can retire comfortably, the quality of our healthcare, and the state of our schools and roads. We elect our Treasurer to solve these problems using reliable data and sound judgment. My background as a business professor at Duke University and a senior economist for the White House has prepared me for this job. I will use my experience to secure North Carolina's financial future.
I believe North Carolina’s next Treasurer should be a leader on the issues that matter most. We can invest responsibly in companies that expand opportunities across our state. We can lead the fight to protect our environment and increase equity. We can expand access to financial services for all North Carolinians. We can make our healthcare system a model for the nation. The Treasurer can do so much for our state and I am ready to get to work.
North Carolina needs a principled and experienced Treasurer with the skills to manage our state's finances and health care system. I hope you’ll join me on this journey as I work to protect our financial future and ensure all North Carolinians get the opportunities they deserve.
