I am in college now to be a primary educator. I absolutely love teaching and the joy that I get from teaching children is untouchable. It is important to know that it is hard to teach children. They are crazy, but they are so fun. I am learning to become a teacher in the middle of a pandemic; that is not fun. It is the hardest thing I have ever done. Watching the lightbulb flick on in my student, is what has made this all worth it. I can have the classroom and I know that because I was accepted into my program and I actually just scheduled classes for my first semester of my major and that is a light at the end of the tunnel of intense studying and working my butt off to get into this program. I actually enjoy doing the work for my classes because it's what I want to do with the rest of my life. This is joyful. Following a life long passion, because I have always wanted to be a teacher since I was little. That is joy. Life is about following those passions. Teaching is no world of rainbows and sunshine. There is a lot of pressure and we're underpaid. The joy of following that passion and learning how to help your students who need it, that is the joy that I can have.
