The easily recognised British Rail “double arrow” logo dates from 1965. It is still used on buildings and staff uniforms to denote railway services across Great Britain. The commission for a new “trademark” was awarded to the graphic design firm DRU (Design Research Unit). Their lettering specialist Gerry Barney drew up the technical details from a concept sketch which showed twin rails with arrows pointing in opposite directions. In the graphic the top arrow is always shown pointing right. Less obvious is the fact that the outer diagonal lines are slightly tapered outwards at the open end. This compensates for the optical illusion of them appearing to thicken at the other end when drawn parallel. It’s a simple but eyecatching example of 1960s design detail in the built environment which still looks fresh and relevant today.
Relatives of a Mr. T W E Roche, a railway enthusiast of the time, claim that the “double arrow” concept was originally his submission, and was passed to DRU for typographical refinement.

Took these shots of some Kangaroo Paw flowers at the Edith Cowan University campus a couple of weekends ago. They are eyecatching. So bright. So yellow. So vivid. The sky was bright that morning. On a side note I was told by security that skateboarding was not allowed, even on a sunday when campus was empty. So Ive not returned since then. Scott Smith (Flickr) jokingly called me a delinquent.
Hello everyone this is the first image......the sneak peak, so to speak, of my next series ..... cant wait to start work properly on them.
This is a location that took a two hour drive to get too, then we had to get over the bog of eternal stench....after that we had to get across a small field with two extremely big bulls casually staring at us. Lucky we never wore red. Then after getting that far we had to then climb a 6ft fence complete with razor wire....... but no the fun dont stop there! Once we had got over that with limbs intact we then had to scale small shed to gain access to the actual grounds and slip in through a open door......... then avoid the 6ft drops of the fallen floor.... This is by far my favourite shoot, as the most exciting controversial ... and freaky locations I have shot within..... And I freaking loved it!!! ANd it is even more amazing when the person who owned this manor was the World famous poet John Milton, whom wrote the fantastic paradise lost.... to be in his home, within his world was a experience I will never forget.
you can add my photos as favourites you do not need to message me before, however please do not use my images or captions and poetry without my permission it is illegal and down right fucking rude!!

Timeless style, authenticity and freedom of expression are the core values of Ray-Ban, a leader in sun and prescription eyewear for generations. From its debut in 1937 with the now-iconic Aviator model created for the American Air Force to today, Ray-Ban has maintained a unique cultural ...
This photo was taken on the shoreline a the Noust of Borwick - a relatively short distance north of the dramatic Yesnaby Cliffs. The cunningly balanced stones in the foreground had already been placed there by someone else.
Given their proximity to the High-Tide level, as well as the frequency of strong winds in Orkney I would not bet that very pleasing and interesting stone creation would be likely to survive very much longer!
That is one of Northlink's ferries and it now has a very striking and memorable Viking Logo!

Eyecatching MILF in slimfit jeans, nice top and blazer. Having beautiful long hair, nice makup and pink colored nails. Walking in awesome classy stiletto pumps having a 4-5inch high heel with black to red color gradient, while her boyfriend is wearing comfy sneakers :D
She was walking very well, which could indicate that she was used to her sexy shoes. I saw them a couple of times and saw no struggleing.
I am always wondering why women wearing high heeled shoes to a tradeshow, which means much walking and standing. Do they want to compete with the trade show hostess to impress their boyfriends? In this case, at least for her footwear, she was beating the hostess girls :)
Confident woman in a stylish black leather jacket poses against a dramatic swirling background
A striking woman with long, flowing red hair stands confidently in a black leather jacket and dramatic red skirt. The swirling background adds a bold artistic touch to the scene.
"Storm in Scarlet"
She stands where the wind is made of color,
where the air itself swirls in painted motion—
a living canvas of bold defiance.
Red hair, a banner of fire,
streams over the black sheen of leather,
its edges catching the light like a promise.
The skirt—scarlet as a heartbeat—
cuts through the storm behind her,
a flash of passion against the chaos.
Her gaze is unshaken,
a steady flame in the vortex,
owning the space as if it were built for her alone.
Every line of her stance speaks
in the language of confidence—
hips squared, shoulders back,
the world bending subtly toward her gravity.
She is fashion and force,
art and attitude,
a portrait of modern glamour
wrapped in the electricity of self-expression.
In this moment,
she is not just part of the scene—
she *is* the scene,
the storm’s center,
the reason the colors move at all.

This eyecatching portrait by LT66 caught my eye amongst the street art in the Seven Star Yard Pub car park on Brick Lane. Although smaller than it used to be as part of it has been built on there's usually a few gems tucked away here.

From London Street Art Design Magazine website, "A listed building and pub of significant standing in public house history. Local to a variety of ‘characters’ over hundreds of years, in recent times Seven Star Yard Pub grew in popularity when street artists and graffiti writers began drinking there. It’s rich history dates back to the 1700s, the Eastend was a world away from the diversity we see on the streets today.
It closed in 2002 and became a Hall of Fame of sorts for the artists plugged into its glorious history. Control over the walls was managed to some degree for a number of years before the floodgates opened to any artist wishing to express themselves. It helped for emerging artists the spot was off the Brick Lane graffiti street art trail. Boosts those social media rankings, and why not, all publicity is generally publicity. On a summers day the Seven Star Yard Pub Yard is visited by a few thousand people a day, if anything our numbers are way too low, but you get the drift, it’s a hotbed of street art graffiti. Here you’ll find an eclectic fusion of styles, mediums and ideas, fighting for space among the layered conceptions of artists far and wide." This bloom wasn't totally open yet, so I felt like a side view might prove more interesting.... Yellow is such an eyecatching cheerful color, but did you ever wonder how we are even able to perceive this color, since we don't have retinal cone receptors that correspond to yellow? Most of us have receptors for blue, green, and red, yet we are able to see yellow since that wavelength appears to stimulate red and green cone cells simultaneously. I don't know who came up with that explanation, and ironically, when I mix my artistic reds and greens, I come up with a black color. Confusing stuff; at least for me anyway, ha ha! :-):-)
It's very difficult to photograph the eyes of my daughter. So pretty they are and what she hides them.

I got out for an 8-hour drive on 15 May 2024, because our parking lot and stalls had to be cleaned of all the gravel. It had been postponed from a previous date. So, I got up around 6:30 am and after I was ready, headed SW to one of my favourite areas and wherever else I might end up. Drove first to see if I could see a Wilson’s Snipe, was very happy to find three of them, and was finally able to get the first photos of this species this season. I was happy to see a little White-crowned Sparrow, too, as it had been quite a while since I last saw one. A few Mountain Bluebirds were seen along various roads.
Drove further west and then headed south and, eventually turned eastwards. Nothing really much to see. So, had a good long drive and, though tiring, was enjoyable. Nice to have a few more new photos instead of digging into the archives, even though the weather was low-light and my camera didn't take sharp photos of most things.
As I was getting started with analog photography I got into the habit of taking a film camera with me everywhere I went and simply took photos of anything that I found interesting. This was a great way of getting used to photographing with film and everything it entails. This set of images is from that period and consist of small scenes that I found on the streets around my current home of Baden in Switzerland.

Jojo is all about being happy and enjoying life just as much as it sexual and so as well as dressing in black and other dark colours sometimes especially in Summer it's just great to put something on that is so bright and eyecatching everyone will look and remember me. Well I say that as it's all about confidence and I tend to find that when I just go for it and be extrovert people react favourably and where I might expect to get stares of bewildered amazement they seem to relax and I get more smiles. I'm sure a lot of women must realise I am transgendered of course and probably enjoy my 'male take' on fashion.

My photography of such a gorgeous rich red colored Dahlia bud ready to open before a rich blue sky. I am just amazed at nature's perfection with these gorgeous buds.
------------------------------------------------------------
Dahlia is a genus of bushy, tuberous, herbaceous perennial plants native to Mexico. A member of the Asteraceae (or Compositae), dicotyledonous plants, related species include the sunflower, daisy, chrysanthemum, and zinnia. There are 42 species of dahlia, with hybrids commonly grown as garden plants. Flower forms are variable, with one head per stem; these can be as small as 2 in (5.1 cm) diameter or up to 1 ft (30 cm) ("dinner plate"). This great variety results from dahlias being octoploids—that is, they have eight sets of homologous chromosomes, whereas most plants have only two. In addition, dahlias also contain many transposons—genetic pieces that move from place to place upon an allele—which contributes to their manifesting such great diversity.
The stems are leafy, ranging in height from as low as 12 in (30 cm) to more than 6–8 ft (1.8–2.4 m). The majority of species do not produce scented flowers or cultivars. Like most plants that do not attract pollinating insects through scent, they are brightly colored, displaying most hues, with the exception of blue.
The dahlia was declared the national flower of Mexico in 1963.The tubers were grown as a food crop by the Aztecs, but this use largely died out after the Spanish Conquest. Attempts to introduce the tubers as a food crop in Europe were unsuccessful.

Ja, alles wird heutzutage bewertet, begutachtet, gecastet,
gecheckt . . . ja, auch DU . . . nee, das merkst DU gar nicht . . . egal, sei's drum . .
