Empty blue plastic chairs and tables in the rain. (GETTY IMAGES)
I love the visual impact of these blue chairs from this angle.
I was waiting for the rain to stop when I spotted this at Tianmen Mountain, Zhangjiajie, China.
Photography is great in the rain but not good for the camera!
It's raining in Sydney 9-17C
Have a great Sunday!
Eigentlich noch viel schöner als das Bild zeigen kann.
Actually much more beautiful than the picture can show.
Our suburb has many peacocks roaming about wild for some reason. Spring is interesting. The males are all putting on displays with their magnificent feathers trying to win a female's heart. Little baby peafowl get around, just brown little blobs. There are even albino pure white ones in the groups around here.
The downside is they have a very loud honk and tend to poo on everyone's verandahs 😂
This guy was hunting lawn grub on our front lawn, it's infested with them at the moment. Lawn grub that is, not peacocks.
Thanks for any comments, they are all appreciated! Happy mid-week !
Nightly freeze/thaw cycles occurring up until recently, have created a subtle palette of hues in local harbour ice. I usually don't see a composition in the resulting melee but here, it was more eye catching.
Gradually from green in spring to yellow/orange in autumn. During a few weeks in the autumn season, various shades of red, yellow, purple, black, orange, pink, magenta, blue and brown. An orange maple leaf ready to fall like most fall in autumn. Most of the branches here have gone bare as the leaves have fallen and only a few remain before winter approaches. Sun is falling on the leaf making the pattern on it so clearly visible!

Two pictures uploaded today...
1) A (rare) Rosy Starling perched on some iron work (i,e. you can't miss)
2) A Common Tern in a fast action freeze
The Tern was x1000 more tricky to take
The Rosy 1,000,000/1 chance to find in your back garden
So 'the rare' or 'the spectacular'?
Photographically of course it's the spectacular., but in a year's time it'll be the rare you'll remember

Another one from yesterday morning. Slightly changing composition, moving around and zooming in more, I noticed this really eyecatching field with little rows of trees.

A beautiful garden in my Mom's neighbourhood! It's fun to enjoy & see it evolving with every new season!
It’s one year since I became an Admin at The World through my eyes so this photo is dedicated to all my co-admins both past and present and to all the wonderful members of the group.
It’s been a great year, I have made so many new friends, seen thousands of beautiful photos, left comments on …I am a bit embarrassed to say, but 40,000 of them; running a weekly theme and doing the creative photography challenges have encouraged me to try new things photography wise so I think I have grown as a photographer as a result.
So thanks everyone, I have loved every moment of it; I hope the next year is as good!!
Have a lovely weekend everyone!!
Sie strahlen knallgelb und duften betörend nach Frühling, die Rapsfelder zwischen den Weinbergen rund um Bad Bergzabern - man muss einfach hingucken und sich freuen!
Yellow rapeseed and a blue sky tells us a story of spring - after years I wanted to show you a picture from this eyecatching yellow field between vineyards at our wonderful winestreet.

Back to a semblance of life before. I wanted to say normality, but in the end, hasn't normality become the mask, the hydro-alcoholic gel, the hygienic gestures?
Back from life in Paris, I took the opportunity to go on an outing rich in photos and faces that will appear here soon. 30 km of walking through the city, for a dozen photos that feel good. To rediscover a bit of humanity.
