In the weird and wonderful Nether Warburton Farm, in St Cyrus, Montrose, Scotland
A slightly surreal composition of these two metal bird sculptures found in the rose garden at Great Malvern. Initially mounted on a pole they are around 1.5 metres each in size. Thought they were quite eyecatching.
Took these shots of some Kangaroo Paw flowers at the Edith Cowan University campus a couple of weekends ago. They are eyecatching. So bright. So yellow. So vivid. The sky was bright that morning. On a side note I was told by security that skateboarding was not allowed, even on a sunday when campus was empty. So Ive not returned since then. Scott Smith (Flickr) jokingly called me a delinquent.
Striking temporary hoarding placed around the Gap store on Churchill Square, Brighton, during a refit.
Note the contrast between the model - lit by bright "sunshine" with a crisp shadow - and the rest of the scene illuminated by gray drab English light.
Nothing new to show, so it's archive time again.

This eyecatching display was taken at this year's The Malvern Spring Gardening Show. Malvern is about innovation and fresh ideas, horticultural excellence, environmentally responsible sustainable design and practice, education and real gardening for all. 'Still enjoying working with found objects, Evans and Farrell offer a sculpture using old bicycles heading skyward into the blue of North Grand Pre. As always, whimsy and illusion figure strongly in their installation'.
This is a truly eyecatching mosque by the ~10km Gempol-Surabaya toll highway connecting Surabaya and the Juanda Airport. It was built somewhere in 93 and 94 but was finished after 7-8 years. So big and so blue, this modern building is an eyestopper. The mosaic, the tiles and the minaret are visually arresting.
One of these days, I will identify its name.

Emirates Airlines A6-EEU Airbus A380-861 'Dubai Expo Livery' is pictured on finals into Heathrow as EK29 from Dubai. This eye catching livery has gained the nickname 'Smarties' for obvious reasons.
Here is the start of the curse:
