City Hall in San Francisco all done up for Christmas, a wonderful weekend fraught with some challenges for my sweet and lovely west coast damsel, but we just went with it and made the best of it. The city by the bay is certainly festive in its Christmas celebrations. City Hall opened in 1915 so it is over a century old.

In EXPLORE 13 December 2021
This was taken on Friday 10 December. I had heard of this and the weather forecast looked good for a an excellent blue hour. The art installation is by British Artist Bruce Munro who is best known for immersive large-scale light-based installations inspired largely by his interest in shared human experience. Field of Blooms has been presented internationally, including at Uluru, Australia – the original source of inspiration for the Artist. The lights gradually change colour and the wires connecting the bulbs are also lit up. There are 1000 lights and they are displayed in the 600 year old Cloisters of Chichester Cathedral. They are free to view and are on display until 30 January
The picture was taken with a tripod with a Sony A77ii with a Sigma 10-20mm lens at 16mm. I took 3 shots for HDR processed in Photomatix using tone balancer for a more natural look. In Photoshop I used Topaz Clarity plugin for more detail and Topaz DeNoise..

This Rock Pipit pauses briefly in its search for food amongst the seaweed and shells at Lepe. Seaweed is not mechanically cleared from the beach here, providing excellent foraging grounds for birds.
Thank you all for your kind responses.
If you cut this picture in two the left side is the USA and the right side is Canada...Two distinct countries and yet nature manage to blend in.
красота вызывает у меня трепет перед ней, и вот я пытаюсь выразить это, верчу его перед собой, чтобы отобразить именно то, что мне одному показал бог. чтобы Вы разделили мой восторг перед совершенством и гармонией
From the garden. I forgot to mention.....really best if you click on the little thingie and look at it on black....
Je suis de retour et heureux de vous retrouver après un passage assez douloureux par la case Covid-19.
Excellent week-end à vous tous.
I took this while I was out last night in the freezing cold trying to get a decent shot of Christams lights! I liked this better then the lights!
Excellent two hours spent this morning watching the Peregrines. The male went off and came back 20 minutes later with what I think is a Sparrow. The Juvenile promptly took it off Dad and devoured it.

In fact it was a dark and dull morning. I am - again and again - surprised about the hidden and subtle light the Canon 50mm f/1.4 manages to capture. Truly a great lens for a wonderful and soft bokeh.
New oak leaves have such a lovely vibrant green & against the cyan sky well it's almost hard to look at.
I have worked about 2 hours on this picture, it is my first texture and
the texture comes likewise of a bush in my garden, see pictures below ......
....for your objective evaluation and proposals to the improvement I would be pleased very much...
thank you my friends ;-))
I wish you all a very nice evening and a good start in the new week !
Talawanda Lake is one of my favorite places close to home. This beautiful little lake is filled with crystal clear water and every summer a wide mat of lily pads surrounds the shoreline. The combination of clear water and aquatic vegetation make Talawanda a photographers dream. I finally got some free time saturday evening and was able to capture this sunset over the lake. It sure felt good!!!!! Hope you all have a great week and remember to celebrate summer!
