Sense on the picture of the polybag shows Lloyd looking like he’s rushing to battle, I have him running in an alley. While also doing some organizing, I found a dumpster from the old spongebob set without the lid, and decided to use it… and pour all the broken droid arms in it with a cat and bag.
This is the classic broken-wing distraction display that Killdeer plovers use to draw attention away from their nests when disturbed. It catches the eye of the intruder, and when the bird is pursued, it gets up, runs in a direction opposite the nest, only to squat and re-display its broken wing distraction. Eventually the potential threat is far enough away from the nest and eggs, and the bird flies away and circles back to the nest area.
I didn't think my minifigures were getting the attention they deserved sitting in a box, and it was hard for the kids to find their favorites to play with. My solution was to prototype and build my own wall-mounted display case. It's 31" x 31" in size, holds 300 minifigures, and, at 1,515 pieces, weighs 6 pounds empty.
I envision this to be dynamic artwork, showing the 300 most interesting figures at any given time. I didn't want to enclose the display so that the kids could have easy access to any of our population.

Yesterday EastCoastbuses launched there new Eclipse3 bodied Volvo B8RLE's at The Archerfield Walled Garden. The Buses are the first new buses to serve North Berwick since 1989. The Locals have mixed reviews over them but im sure they are a lot better than what is currently operating

A American Avocet Distraction displays
Distraction displays frequently take the form of injury-feigning. However, animals may also imitate the behavior of a small rodent or alternative prey item for the predator; imitate young or nesting behaviors such as brooding (to cause confusion as to the true location of the nest), mimic foraging behaviors away from the nest, or simply draw attention to oneself.

Before Novemeber ends I wanted to take pictures of this month's display. It seems like the theme was Black & Nude. I had a light bulb moment with Veronique as I wanted to add her with the NU.Face girls just to show everyone who's queen! I've always wanted to see Karolin in this nude sweater with trousers. I added these embroidered gloves for extra chicness. A High fashion moment! I love a redhead in nude and I've always imagined Giselle in this Jason Wu Point D'esprit tulle slip dress with Swarovski crystals. Perfect! But here comes Nadja breaking all the rules in a red belted suit. She's not one to fade into the background. But they all look stunning right? I'm obsessed!
No it is not a premature fireworks display.....it is a blown glass display by Dale Chihuly. Beautiful during the day but even nicer here at night when it was lit up. (google him)
I have been working on my model the last two Sundays. I had no idea what I was going to do for my window display. I wasn't really happy with the first one but I glued it all together so that's what it's going to be. :D
When I was a lad these were called Blue Grouse and now the 2 subspecies have separate species status.
Sooty and Dusky.
Sooty have the “Yellow Eggs” for inflation display purposes. Dusky have Red Display Sacs. So the interior Dusky Grouse are Red Necks.;)

To me this wonderful arrangement of plants says "elegance".... Toronto Garden Club display at Canada Blooms show.
Of a traditional (and very rare nowadays) toy shop, really two streets from our appartment.
Its name is "Pomme de Reinette & pomme d'api", which is a traditional song for young children.

WEEK 22 – Southaven Gordmans Liquidation, Set I
Backtracking a little now for this view right next to those garden gnomes we started today's set with. These circle areas were all over the store, and featured a differently-colored overhead circle and matching checkerboard floor tile at each. Additionally, several (but not all) of them had those house elements for displaying merchandise. A rather unique way of showing off new products, if you ask me!

These places are public so these photos are too, but just as I tell where they came from, I'd appreciate if you'd say who :)
