This was an interesting courtship display between these 2 Laughing Gulls. At breeding time, their head is black and the inside of their mouth is red. I read that the male regurgitates food to the female and she eats it. There was a lot of displaying and "laughing" going on. Taken at Fort De Soto park in Florida.

On Display in Hamlet, NC is SDP35 1114 in a stunning fresh SAL. The unit has sat on display since the early 90s being repainted 2 times since being displayed. Being a few days after Christmas there would still be a few decorations up on the unit.
One of many many MANY photos that have been piling up the last couple of weeks. Maybe by July I'll have posted them all. It's been soooo nice having my photo subject on hand 24/7. As you can see I've been making quite creative use of my time. 😉
So my display case arrived earlier today, and apart from one significant floor, the size and design is exceptional. This was just a rough layout of some (not all) of my figures. They are semi-theme organised, so heres also a sneak peak of Dash. (yes, I will probably paint another head for him).
Will work on a tiered system when I get a replacement case... as there are two large cracks on the far right end.
Other than that problem, the product itself is great for only £9.99, and Ill probably buy several more.
Magnificent Peacock Display.
A red letter day for me. I have never before seen or been able to capture a peacock displaying his array of feathers.
This peacock was displaying to impress his harem of peahens, of which he had several.
This one lived on the Welsh farm where I stayed for a long weekend and hey presto, this was the result. He was magnificent and I count myself very lucky indeed to have seen this at such close quarters.
Yes I know most of these are not orchids but this display caught my eye. Morning sun on a white background gave the Hi Key effect.
Wine display at Tamber Bey Winery in Calistoga, California. It's situated in a working horse barn and is a great place to visit.
I loved the line/color pattern of the display, and thought a little sliding would emphasize this more.

I took a still of this display window as part of the Christmas video I am putting together, much of which involves spot color. This window is no exception. But you will see that when the video is done and up online.
I do like the color saturation and the details this new phone camera gives. (It's supposed to be a 50mp camera.)

RP20BD 5400 probably has been used at one time or another, but it now sits near the end of a long string of stored units. The SD45's on the other hand never were used. They were bought only for parts & later placed on display atop the hill.
